Chapter 18 - Strange Sightings

The mansion is now secure and we have spent the next few days gathering all the supplies we can to start to grow and produce food. I have been helping Luke to make the fortress absoloutly solid so that we can make sure that nothing will get in. Today I'm going on a weapon and clothes hunt with emma and we hope to find the best things possible. I walk into the living room with emma to help pack the stuff we need for the trip emma opens her mouth to speak. "Hey do you wanna talk" she asks me. " About what I say" I knew instantly what she was going to bring up and I didn't exactly want her to bring it up."About melissa" she says. "Look I've already been through this there was nothing I could of done to help her one of those stupid idiots out there left their bags lying around. "She was a great person jason and I think that was probably fate taking its course" she says. I feel my blood boiling up."How can you say that,fate? F****** fate, it was nothing to do with fate" I shout."I I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you angry jason I was just tryin-" I interrupted."Help? Well yeah good job" I reply and I storm out of the door and I am very p***** off and you wouldn't like me p***** off.

Over the next half an hour we are ready to go and I hop in the front next to emma,the journey is silent and none of us says a word after the incident in the living room after about 15 minutes I decide its best to say sorry to emma after storming off like that I mean I think I over reacted when we were talking and I didn't think she ment it to hurt me so I start talking to her."Hey I'm sorry about earlier I over reacted when you said that" I said to her." No don't be sorry its me that should be sorry I should of never brought that conversation up in the first place" she replies. "Well let's just put that behind us now because I don't think we can afford to argue in the zombie apocalypse it could get us killed and that would be our fault" I say to her,she smiles and we pull up to the gun shop we get out and I check the roof of the gunshop to make sure its not occupied with snipers or anyone like that and I proceed to the door. I reach out for the handle and the door burst open and suddenly I am on the floor with a zombie on top of mebut I knew this wouldn't be trouble as emma would help me but I couldn't have been any wronger as she too was occupied by three zombies and more and more were joining the group I quickly shoved the zombie off of me and ran to emma's aid. I pulled out my trusty machine gun and I let loose a group of bullets taking out three of them just making time for us to escape but we would go back without any supplies, I grab emma's arm and yank her away from store and we sprint for the car and I hop into the front seat and we put our seatbelts on and the zombies start to pound on the window and it shatters, one of the hands reaches in and grab my shirt, I start the car and we pull away from the zombies. The hand let's go and we are safe I look up into the top mirror and There's a zombie in the back seat.Crap. I put the breaks on and the zombie goes flying out of the window good thing we had our seatbelts on or we would have gone flying out with the zombie whew!.we are safe , continue the journey home and we get there with in half an hours time we walk into the mansion empty handed happy that we have survived.
