"They just took Hyewon to the hospital. She's in labor." Jungkook tells you as he ends the call.

"What? How? I mean there were still a few weeks left. We should go there." You are shocked to know that Hyewon who was having a pretty smooth pregnancy suddenly went into labour out of nowhere.

Before you know it, Jungkook and you are in the car. He's driving. And you are left wondering how scary it must've been for Hyewon to suddenly go into labor when she wasn't expecting it. You pray the baby will come out healthy.

"They were all having dinner together. Appa went to drop Umma at their place to stay. And suddenly her water broke and she started screaming and informed them that she had been feeling some cramps since the morning which she now realised were contractions. They immediately took her to the hospital." Jungkook tells you when you're stuck at a red light.

"I hope Hyewon will be fine. And the little one too." Jungkook sighs as he starts driving again as the lights turn green.

You reach the hospital and find out that Hyewon is progressing rapidly. Namjoon was in the labor room with her. She was already 6 cms dilated. Everything was under control so she could have a natural birth.

You feel weird standing in a hospital wearing a party gown, with a full makeup face and expensive jewellery.
You were wearing Jungkook's coat to cover up the marks he'd left on your neck in the bathroom.

"It'll probably take a couple hours. Why don't you go and get changed and bring some stuff from Hyewon's place? We were all panicking so we left empty handed. And I mean her hospital bag is still not complete. But I have a copy of her list. If you could just get her stuff." Your mother in law says sweetly. And you agree to her.

You know that she probably wants to protect you from getting flashbacks of your recent trip to the hospital as the operation theatre your surgery took place isn't very far away.

You drive over to your place first. You change into some decent clothes and freshen up. Your period had shown up early, your underwear was ruined. Thankfully you were already on the way home when it happened.

You drive to Hyewon and Namjoon's place next. You easily spot the hospital bag but you can't find the stuff that was listed. You try to find onesie and socks. Finally you see that they're all arranged neatly in the dresser. You take out some diapers, some bodysuits, a tiny dress, a headband with a bow on it, there's tiny socks and mittens, wipes.

But you dont find the things Hyewon needs in the same room. You feel like an intruder when you step inside Namjoon and Hyewon's bedroom. You start opening the cupboards and the drawers inside. You find a very disorganized drawer. You can't help but you clearly see the papers that lie in there. There are Hyewon's pregnancy test reports. But you couldn't help ignore the divorce papers that lied beside them casually. They were dated two years ago. You can't imagine what they went through and how they came out of it and kept that part of their life completely secret.

You quickly pack her underwear, maternity pads, and other necessary items in a separate bag. Jungkook calls and asks if you're in your way back.

You lock the door and leave for the hospital with the two bags one for the mother and one for the daughter. You still cant believe that Hyewon's baby is coming, you'll be able to meet her so soon. You wonder how Jungkook will spoil the little girl. And you also know it'll also make you dream about the day he'll actually become a father.

On the way to the delivery room, you meet a couple moving towards a room with a small baby in their arms. You notice the nervousness and the blissful smile on their faces. It's evident they're first time parents.

"She's almost here. It's happening like really fast." Jungkook tells you as soon as you come to him.

"I was gone for almost two hours though," you tell him.

"Sohee's here." Namjoon came out to tell all of you after a few minutes. He informs that she's very healthy and Hyewon's doing well too. Despite being a premature birth, the delivery went smoothly.

You watch how your mother in law starts crying. Your father in law tries to console her but he has tears in his eyes too. Its their first child having a child of their own.

"Weren't we fighting over toys just a couple days ago? How did we grow up so fast man? She's a mother now." Jungkook says to Ryuwon who hugs him tearfully.

You wait for Hyewon to get moved to the room. Then you wait for your turn to meet her. For a while Namjoon and her enjoyed their moment with their baby girl. She wanted to have the golden hour just to themselves.

Soon after your mother in law and father in law went inside to meet the baby. They held her in their arms while she was sleeping.

You held Jungkook's hand tightly when you went inside. The baby was in Namjoon's arms. He just didn't want to put her down.

"Oh my god she's exactly like you." Jungkook fails to control his tears when he looks at her for the first time. 

"You wanna hold her?" Namjoon asks.

"I'm afraid I'll drop her. She's so tiny." Jungkook chuckles.

"Oh come on, get some practice in for when you have your own baby." Namjoon teases him and helps him to hold her.

"She's so beautiful. So perfect." Jungkook keeps looking at her. He strokes her cheeks with his fingertips.

"Look at him, he adores kids. And then he goes around saying things like he doesn't wants to be a dad and bs." Hyewon says.

"He becomes really gentle and calm." You say.

"Are you guys trying again?" Hyewon asks.

"No. I mean that one wasn't planned too. It was a mistake and then it became this huge thing. We're not thinking about it right now." You tell her.

"That's okay. Trust me. You'll know it when you're ready." She says.

Jungkook brings the baby near you. You look at her with a smile then he offers you to hold her. You do so nervously.

Jungkook stands closely and smiles as you look at her as she fusses and opens her eyes slowly to look at the two of you.

"I want one," he whispers.

"Me too," you answer. The baby starts crying so you give her back to Hyewon.

Hyewon struggles to calm her down. She checks the diaper and finds that it was dirty. You find it funny how chaotic it is for Namjoon and Hyewon to change the first diaper together.

"That's the next two years of their life." Jungkook says as you two leave the room.

"Lucky us. We're still just the two of us." You smile looking up at him.

"I never knew this is what it would feel like to watch my sister become a mother. And to become an uncle." Jungkook says as you get inside the car. He takes the driver seat.

"I mean she iss this perfect little thing in my eyes. I felt like I could fight the world for her and bring the stars for her if she asks for them." Jungkook says excitedly.

"I wonder what it would feel like to become a dad." Jungkook blurts out.

You stay silent. Look out the window. He looks at you to check your expressions then looks away towards the road.

"Do you have an idea of how long do you want to wait before we start trying again?" You ask.

Jungkook contemplates then answers, "Look all I know is that in the present it is not the right time. I need at least a few more months. And I mean I have got so much more to do with you babe. I want to enjoy being a couple for longer." Jungkook tells you.

"Yeah. I also think so. Let's go somewhere. There's a long weekend coming up, let's plan a short trip." You suggest. He agrees enthusiastically.

You talk about possible nearby  places you can explore in two days. You decide on going for a trekking retreat.
