Back to school (p1)

Jake's pov:

Ahh. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and my stomach was growling. Everyday, is basically the same day as today. The usual morning nausea kicked in especially hard today. But it was soon dispersed as the realisation hit me like a sack of wet socks.

School starts today...

Dreadfulness filled me as the thought of sitting in math class next to girls who would be drooling all over me and beg for my phone number.... Ohh I just know it's gonna be hell.

Then at the same time. It's gonna be Avery's first day of school! Oh my god that thought alone was able to make my morning nausea go away. Just picturing Avery in my old school uniform was enough to melt my face off into a puddle of sludge.

But putting all those aside, I haven't had breakfast yet. And picturing scenarios in my head isn't gonna make it magically fill up.

So, as quickly as flash could take off all of his clothings. I was already dressed and ready for the day. I headed down the stairs and the smell of freshly made french toast and pancakes made me hurried into the kitchen.

Avery was already there chomping on some pancakes. His dark brown hair shimmered as he turned to look at me. "Good morning Avery." I greeted him happily as I sat right next to him. "Good morning jakey." He said. Half smiling.

I could tell right away he was nervous about school. So, I grabbed a plate and started filling it up to the brim with French toast. Then, I decided to ask him the question. "Are you nervous for your first day Avery?"

He looked at me, his eyes clearly a little bit red. "Yeah. Only a little bit." He wispered into my ear. "Aww. It's okay Avery. Me, Ezra and Tyson would be there together with you." I reassured him. "It's gonna be fine. Plus, we get to see each other during recess! That'll each people not to mess with our baby brother!"  I gave him a soft nudge on the shoulder and a comforting smile. Hoping that would be enough to put his mind at ease.

"Promise you won't leave me?" He asked. His brown eyes looking right into mine. Reminding me exactly of dad's. "Of course I promise. When have I ever lied to you before. Hmm?"  That comment alone seems to have made him light up a little. That adorable cute smile returning to his face.

"Thank you jakey." As he gave me a big big hug. "Aw. No problem buddy." I said. Returning that kind gesture.

For the next few minutes. We ate in silence as Ezra and Tyson entered the kitchen with their Uniforms already on. They both gotten almost the same amount of food on my plate and started eating. Starting small chats with Avery about school, who to ignore and which teachers to avoid.

A few more minutes have passed. Silas wanted us to take a picture holding signs that has. 'Back to school' imprinted on it, For each person. Avery looked excited to hold the sign. He was smiling the whole time. Which was a good sign that all the talks he's had in the kitchen actually did something.

Anyways. The four of us headed into the car after being kissed on the cheek by Silas. And was being driven to school by the driver.
