Chapter 5

Memory

I lay on the ground cold and wet. I was just thirteen and had lost someone dear to me. I just wanted to stay in the forest and become another tree. I then looked up and saw a woman with brown hair and a striking accent found me.
" Are you ok? Where are your parents, " she asked and looked around. I gave a small chuckle.
" Well I'm sitting in forest, alone and wet, that's a big indication that I'm not ok. As for my parents I do not know nor care. I just need to get back to my friend, " Ok so I lied a little, I did care where my parents are but I learned to just deal with it.
" Well the man I work for owns a castle, he might let you stay, " she said holding out her hand.
" And if he doesn't? "
" Well I'll hide you, " She said very matter of factly. I took her hand and got up and thanked her. We walked along the road until arriving at a castle. We opened the rather large door and walked in.
" Rumple? Rumplestiltskin? "
I jumped and reached for my dagger.
" The dark one! You work for him? "
The woman looked at me confused.
" I know he's not got the best reputation but he's very sweet, "
I almost chocked.
" He killed my friends love! "
I heard a manic laugh behind me and turned around.
" Hook? Your friend? My, he associates himself with children to make himself, what? Feel younger? "I held the dagger to his throat as he tutted and waved his green finger, " Now, now dearie, wrong dagger, " he flung me back into a wall.
" Rumple! Stop, " the woman demanded but he kept walking towards me. I got up and felt a heat in my hand. I looked down and there it was, a fireball. I took the opportunity to throw on it. He caught it, another manic laugh.
" Belle, please take Summer to her room, " he said turning on his heel.
" I never told you my name, " I said followed by a laugh, " and I'm not staying! "

I had tried to escape but it was impossible. I was kept in a reasonable bedroom but I was high up. Rumplestiltskin had a deal. I learn magic and I stay here willingly and in return he wouldn't hurt Hook. He was coming for his answer and I had it. I could hear his footsteps marching down the hallway and tempted though I was, I didn't try to surprise attack him. It would have made no difference.
" Hello dearie, got my answer? " he asked and I sighed.
" Fine I'll stay and learn magic, "

Reality

I found Hook on the dock. He saw me marching towards him and he looked confused, until I punched him in the face. He looked up shocked with his lip bleeding.
" What the bloody hell was that for, " he asked.I scoffed.
" That was for never telling me that your my father, " I gave him another punch in the stomach. Thats when I felt people pulling me off. Snow and Charming were pulling me back, stopping me from attacking Hook again. Belle and Red were seeing if Hook was ok.
" LET GO OF ME, " I yelled pulling, but their grip was just to strong. David turned me to look directly at him.
" Why did you hit him? " he said.
" It's a family matter, just me and dear old dad, " I spat glaring at Hook, my dad.
" He's your dad? " Snow asked and looked between us. We both had dark hair, blue eyes and a love for the sea.
" Maybe we should let her go, " David said hoping I might start punching again. Snow smacked Charming arms lightly. Hook approached me and I again struggled in their grip.
" Look lass, I'm sorry ok? It's just that, " he started to look at the floor " It's a painful memory, " I said in unison with him.
" I'm sick and tired of being told it's a painful memory, I want to know what happened, " I yelled. So he told me.

Hooks memory

I held my girl in my arms cradling her. 2 months old. I walked in to find Regina standing at the mirror, she had been crying. My smile faded as she turned to me in anger.
" You're cheating on me! " she yelled.
" What the hell are you talking about love? "
She showed me in the mirror of me hugging a girl with dark brown hair and blue eyes ( Summer ) who I hadn't seen before.
" Refresh your memory? " she asked bitterly.
" I don't know who that is, " I said honestly but she snatched our baby away from me.
" Leave, now, " she said in a low voice

After a week of leaving Regina, a basket was left on the Jolly Roger containing my baby girl. I could never tell her of her parents, what had happened.

Reality

Someone had obviously called my Mum and she had been listening and watching the whole thing.
" That isn't what happened! " she shouted. She then began to tell her side of the story.

Regina's Memory

I sat at my dresser brushing my hair when my mother, Cora appeared.
" What are you doing here!? " I shouted turning towards her. She just smiled.
" I'm here to show you the truth, " she waved her hand and I saw Hook hugging a girl with dark hair and blue eyes. She looked a little like him and me, but I guess if he liked himself and he liked me it was his ideal girl. I felt my heart which had finally been prepared just be broken again. Cora disappeared and I was left alone. Hook walked in smiling, holding our child
" You're cheating on me! " I screamed
" What the hell are you talking about love? "
I showed him the very scene my mother showed me
" Refresh your memory? " I asked looking at him but he kept denying it.
" I don't know who that is, " I can't believe it! I took our baby, he's cheating on me, I couldn't possibly let him keep caring for her.
" Leave, now, " I growled.

A week later I couldn't handle it, I hadn't gotten any sleep due to crying too much, from me and the baby. I called Rumplestiltskin who took my child away. Before he did I gave her a locket containing a very precious memory, along with the silk handkerchief. I hoped I would see her again.

Reality

" It was all a lie, the girl Hook was hugging was me, when you found me again. This has all been one big lie, " I said connecting everything together. Wow everything was really falling apart.
