Chapter 25

A/n: We hit 1K! I could kiss you guys! You probs don't won't want to kiss me.  I know it's mainly because I have a lot of chapters but I'm still really happy. I also wanted to thank you all for likes, comments and following me. Ok now to get to the bit you're actually here for.

Dad pulled me into a hug while Mum rocked the child gently to sleep. We teleported back to the castle and set her down in her crib. I stayed with her, to make sure no one would touch her. We never got the damn answer from the seer, about killed Merlin. I'm glad we had Zoey though, she mattered the most at this point.
" I'm going to tell you a story. Once upon a time, there was girl who was cursed. This curse made her think and do evil things. One day, she did the most evil of things in front of a child. This child grew scared of someone who had been so close to her. The girl was left very upset that the poor child couldn't understand she had been cursed, that she could not control her actions very well. She just wants to be rid of the curse, " I said softly. I sighed and twiddled my thumbs. I heard a knock on the door and saw Kai pop his head round the door. I smiled and gestured for him to come in. He walked over to Zoey.
" Heya, hey, whatcha doing? " He spoke in a high pitched voice. The one you use around an infant. He looked over to me.
" So, when's the wedding? " I asked. Kai looked at me oddly for a moment and then understood. I was talking about Ellen, his betrothed.
" I don't know, until we get back to Camelot. Or when things die down around here. Perhaps even StoryBrooke, " I cut in.
" So basically whenever, " I chuckled, but I didn't smile. He nodded and went back to playing with Zoey's hands. She was starting to get the red hair of her mother, and she had piercing green eyes.
" Everyone is going back you know. We found a way back, " Kai told me randomly, " Back to StoryBrooke. They say it's smaller than the Enchanted Forest so it'd be easier to find Zelena,  " he explained, I nodded. It's true, also StoryBrooke is way cooler. He picked up Zoey and handed her to me. Again she started to cry.
" Zoey, Shh, c'mon Shh, " I rocked her gently. I changed her, fed her, I did everything, she still cried. Kai took her back and we walked through to the throne room and saw everyone standing there. They were all crowding around Jeffersons hat. He began to spin it. It made a huge portal and we all jumped through. I clung to my dagger so it wouldn't fall out. I felt ourselves land, I looked around. We're back in StoryBrooke. Finally we're back home. I saw Kai handing Zoey to Mum and then helping Ellen to her feet. I swallowed the lump in my throat. It was night. Everyone scattered, getting back to their usual lives. I went down to the Rabbit Hole. I sat on a stool at the bar and ordered a beer. It came and I started to drink it. Someone sat next to me.
" You don't seem like someone who has troubles to drink away,  " the familiar accented Will Scarlett said. I rolled my eyes.
" Is there specific look? Perhaps a t- shirt saying 'emotionally wounded'? " I snapped and went back to my drink. He laughed.
" And here was me thinking you were warming up to me, " He teased, " Women usually do with my good looks and charm, " he praised himself. I scoffed and finished my drink. I ordered another one.
" I just want a nice drink in a bar, I don't think that's too much to ask, " I sighed. He chuckled. We sat there in silence for a while before I went to leave. Will had gotten drunk and I knew that I just could leave him. But that wouldn't be the thing she was meant to do. I slung his arm around her neck and he stumbled along. Will was mumbling incoherently. I knew he slept at Grannies so that's where I took him. I dragged him upstairs with the help of Ruby.
" He gets like this a lot, " Ruby sighed. I opened his door and looked at her confused.
" Whys that then? " I asked as we shoved Will onto the bed and left an aspirin.
" He's lonely, " She said simply before leaving. I looked at Will who was sleeping. I let out a breath.
" I'm sorry I'm so distant, I just don't want anyone to be harmed on my accountant. Everyone in StoryBrooke is under my protection, from myself, " I held my face in my hands. I was so tired of all this, I was so fed up of being the Dark One.
