Chapter 15

We were at the gates of the castle. I was standing at the front.
" Who goes there? " A guard asks.
" We're expected by the prince, " I said.
" Whats your name? " They asked pointing their spears at me. I stood in front of Henry.
" It's Summer, "  I said pointing their spears to the ground with my hand. They let us through and I glared at them. I kept Henry close.
" I'll be ok, " he said noticing. I smiled.
" I know, I just want to keep you safe, " He smiled back at me. We entered the throne room and there he was. He smiled at me and for some reason I felt my cheeks go hot. I shook off the feeling and Dad stepped forward.
" We're here for the women you found, " he said trying to appeal to them.
" The dark one and the woman with dark hair? " Presumably the king spoke up. I nodded. He flicked his hand an mum ran out in a black dress. I smiled and everyone hugged her. I hated to be the one to break it up but I did. I pulled out Emma's dagger and sighed.
" We need Merlin to come with us, " I said. The king nodded and a man, middle aged, came out. Kai stood up.
" I'll go and protect Merlin, " he said, the king was hesitant. Obviously be loved his son.
" Stay safe, you there, Summer, " he pointed to me, my eyes widened, " Show my son your ways, look after him, " I nodded.
" I will, I swear, you've done us a huge favour, " I said curtsying. We were lead down to the dungeon and I saw Emma. She didn't look good. Henry ran to her door but I grabbed him.
" Hey! " he shouted.
" She's different Henry, we don't know what she might do now, " I said and I could see him on the verge of tears. I pulled him into a hug before I stood up. " Emma Swan, " I held up the dagger and she looked at me displeased.
" Why hello Summer, " she said standing up. Personally I thought Emma looked better in her usual clothes.
" I order you not to harm anyone, " I said and she nodded, " It's ok you can open the door now, " I said and the did. Henry rushed and hugged Emma. She looked surprised and hesitant and hugged him back.
" It's ok kid, I'm here, " she reassured him. We got out of the dingy dungeon and threw the magic bean. We all jumped in. We landed back in Storybrooke. Cora was eager to ask us about the trip. I had just mumbled and grumbled while mum explained it in great detail.
" And who are they? " she asked pointing to Kai and Merlin.
" I'm prince Kai, " he bowed and then gestured to Merlin, " And this is my best friend, Merlin, " he also bowed. Everyone introduced themselves. I got changed and damn it felt good to be in jeans again. Dad and Charming let Kai and Merlin borrow some clothes. Kai had looked at them weirdly and it was hilarious, and kinda cute. He had dressed in a leather jacket, shirt and jeans with some converse. Luckily we were in time to actually perform. I grabbed a guitar, Ruby sat at the drums and Belle sat by the keyboard. I took a deep, shaky breath and began to sing. We did a P!nk song

Ever wonder what he doing?

Everyone cheered as we kept singing and I felt a sense of achievement which I hardly ever felt. We sang, Raise Your Glass, So What and True Love.

We were tired by the time we finished. We checked our bucket to see it overflowing with money. I handed the heavy bucket, with the help of Belle and Ruby, to mum and she was smiling.
" I believe that should be enough, combined with the stalls, " I said extremely happy.
" Hey, Summer, " Kai called, I walked over to see what was happening.
" The dagger doesn't work! " Someone yelled. I looked around to see Emma strangling Dad. Anger rose and got the better of me.
" Hey! " I yelled getting her attention. I pulled out my sword and she let Dad drop to the floor like a rag doll.
" Henry is mine! " she hissed and I looked confused.
" We won't take him away from you, just stop this, " I said edging towards her. She looked at the sword. I hesitantly took it down as to demonstrate my point. She eased up. I held out my hand to her.
" Don't come any closer, " she warned, but I ignored it. I took a step closer and I felt her constricting my throat.
" Emma. " I struggled, " this isn't you, " she then ripped out my heart. I finally saw it, of course it wasn't completely pure, to be honest I had hoped for that, I had to be able to do things no one pure of heart would.
" No mum! " Henry yelled.
" Go on! " I yelled but it came out rather squeaky, " Kill me, in front of your son, your parents, your friends, your boyfriend, " I said urging her.
" What makes you think I won't, " she smirked.
" We're friends Emma, " My lungs were begging for air, " Everyone you love is here, " she let me go but kept my heart. I took in a huge breath and I felt dizzy. This was happening all to often.
" It's rather squishy, " she said squishing it. It sent pain all through me as I gripped where my heart should be.
" Do it, I dare you! " I yelled, " Let Henry watch his sister die, " I said. I knew how much Emma loved Henry, we all did. If one thing would control her Henry would.
" Summer! " Mum yelled but she froze everyone to watch. I had my hands out and I was kneeling.
" Do you remember how hard, how long it took my Mum to gain Henry's trust, it'll take you longer! " I spat. She released her grip on the heart and was about to place it back in my chest when I stopped her.
" What are you doing? " she asked.
" I trust you to do the right thing, you didn't kill me, so thats a reminder you can beat the darkness, " I said turning away.
" But you can't feel fully! " she said and true there was a void that felt empty inside of me.
" True but it's motivation, help me, return it to me when your back to your usual self, " I smiled over my shoulder. She smiled back and I walked away.

A/n: Sorry it took me longer than expected to update, just started school again and finished this on the bus home.
