Chapter 14

We had been walking for the whole day and my throat was red raw from calling out but I kept on. Everyone was tired but I wanted to keep going.
There she was, standing with her back to me. I ran to her but when I turned around it was Emma. She grabbed my throat holding me up and then taking my heart. She then proceeded to crush it.
I screamed. I must have had a daydream as we were walking. Everyone looked pretty shocked and I apologised.
" Sorry, I um had a daymare, " I shrugged and kept calling out. Everyone was tired, including me and Henry, but we refused to give up. We called out until the pain of our throat was unbearable and our voice was nothing more than a squeak. We sat down at a fire and I hugged him.
" You said we would find her today, " he said in a hoarse whisper.
" I know Henry, I know I promised but it looks like I was wrong, I will find her if it's the last thing I do, " I said and he chuckled.
" Y'know she would have killed you for ruining her line by mixing it in with Snow and Charming's, " He told me and I nodded.
" I'd rather that than not having her here, " I replied gazing off into the forest, " Hey Henry, did Mum bring her mirror? " He nodded confused and I brought out mine. I started to call her and the only answer I got was a guard. He was dressed like a knight with a helmet on.
" Who are you? " He asked and I scoffed.
" I could ask the same thing, " I said. He took off his helmet and he brownish blonde hair fell out of his helmet.
" I'm king Arthur's son, Kai, " his green eyes looking into mine.
" Nice title, now where's our mother, " I demanded.
" You haven't told me your name, " he had an english accent.
" I don't need to I just our mum, " I said rolling my eyes.
" I'll tell you if you tell me your name, " I sighed.
" It's Summer, " he smiled at me.
" Was that so hard, she's at our castle for questioning, I'll be sure to make sure she gets treated well for your arrival, " He said. Henry then asked his question.
" Have you got a woman there named Emma Swan? " his eyes widened.
" Are you in league with her? "
" No she's my birth mother, she saved my adoptive mother, her real mother, from becoming the dark one, " He explained.
" We have her locked up, come to our castle first thing tomorrow morning, " he said and the image faded. I smiled.
" At least we know they're safe, " I said and he smiled. We fell asleep awaiting the sun to rise.

Memory
I was glad Regina let me stay. I had helped run from the queen, help others and it had felt good to have a purpose. We were currently in a village in need, it had a tavern so we sat down for a drink. We both had our hoods up as both our faces were plastered everywhere. I ordered two beers and we sat and sipped them. We got into a deep conversation.
" So are you planning running from the queen all the time? " I asked.
" I'm gonna leave this place, save up enough to buy passage away from here. It's not safe for either of us, " she took a sip of her beer. I just nodded.
" Don't you believe in happy endings? Just closing your eyes and knowing you'll come out the situation ok. " I asked and she shook her head.
" Snow is after me because she believes I ruined her life, her happy ending, " she said looking right past me.
" And did you? "
" Yes, " she said gravely.
A man came rushing in and yelled that the queen was here. I looked around and knew what to do.
" Regina run, " I said drawing my sword.
" What? Aren't you coming with me? " I smiled.
" Someone has to protect these guys, I'll distract them while you run, " I said and went to go leave. As Regina went to he back door she turned around.
" I will find you again, if it's the last thing I do, " she breathed and ran. I walked out of the tavern still holding my beer. The queen was smirking and I downed my beer and threw away the cup.
" Would you like a round your majesty? " I asked trying to draw her attention to me. She smirked.
" I'll offer you the same question, where is Regina? " she said walking towards me.
" I'll give you the same answers, " I shrugged and raised my sword. Charming stepped in front of her. We battled it out for a good twenty minutes. The queen must have gotten impatient as she had snuck behind me and now had her hand my back and took out my heart. I felt her crushing it slowly. The pain was agonising, but I refused to tell her anything. The one thing I had been able to do was protect my heart. Poorly she could control me but she couldn't make me tell her anything. I became her mercenary. If you look up in any room of her castle, you would spot tunnels. I hid there and if she summoned me I would drop in. This was constant until the day Emma showed up and broke the Authors spell.

I woke up early but didn't move as to not wake Henry. I looked up to the horizon seeing the castle. I smiled as we would soon all be reunited. Jefferson was up and looking at a picture. I bent my neck and saw that it was Emma.
" Has the mad hatter got feelings for the Saviour, or dark one, whatever? " I said and he jumped. He smiles and chuckled.
" To be honest, I don't know, " He started and gripped the picture tightly.
" We will find her, " I reassured.
" You said the same thing to Henry, look at you guys now, " he said obviously not stopping to think how hurtful that was.
" For you information, I know where Emma and my Mum are, " I said my fist clenching. He frowned and muttered a sort of apology. I too said sorry and everyone started to wake up.
" Well, let's go and see King Arthur, " I said changing into my dress. ( Like the one Emma stole and the one Emma wore in the bar ).
