Chapter 10

" I guess we look after her, " I said, " Do we name her? "
" I-I guess, " Belle said. We were all a little confused. We left the cell a little stunned. I just can't believe she left her child, did she just get pregnant to have a go at Regina? I suddenly felt very protective of the child. Regina looked at me.
" Wounded and holding a child, that's how Charming fought when I was evil, " Mum said which was pretty random. I guess it just really reminded her of that moment. Belle dropped us home and I immediately started ordering baby stuff. A crib, toys, blankets, nappies ( diapers if your American) I got the works. Mum needed her rest so the baby would sleep in my room. She cried three times in the night, the first time she was hungry so I heated up milk and gave it to her, the seconded time was for a change and the third was gas. I woke up a very tired girl. I dared not wake the child so I crept out the room. I made myself some coffee and some breakfast.
" Morn- "
" SHHH! " I shushed mum and gestured to the girl, " I thought of a name, " I whispered, " Zoey, "
" Good name, sounds a little like Zelena, but good name. " I handed Mum a coffee and some breakfast and ate. We were halfway through when I heard a familiar shriek. I groaned and brought her through. She stopped crying when I picked her up, I smiled. I brought her through to the kitchen and sat her on my lap.
" she just wanted attention, don't ya, " I started making funny faces and Mum tried to contain her laughs. I don't know why, my faces were meant to entertain a child not a very straight faced queen. The baby stuff had arrived so we were able to allow her to play with some of her toys. I must have fallen asleep at some point because when I came to I saw it was dinner time and Mum was playing with Zoey. I smiled and stretched. I smelt some steak pie cooking away and saw Henry reading Zoey stories.
" Ah so your awake, already met our little cousin, " he said smiling. Zoey was giggling at Mums faces and her actions. I got up and got the pie out of the oven as Henry and Mum were too entranced by the baby. I got it out, cut it up and dished it up. I put out some cups of water for us and then picked up Zoey. Mum and Henry looked a little sad that I was taking her to have her bottle. I rolled my eyes smirking. I heated up a bottle, let it cool down, tested it on my skin and then let her drink it up. Once she was contented I lay her down so she could sleep. I went over to join Mum and Henry and started to eat. We finished and Zoey had fallen asleep. So I got into my pyjamas and started to sleep. She cried in the night again so I got up. I was trying everything but it didn't work so I took her out in her pram. She seemed to enjoy seeing Storybrooke. Everyone who was still up loved to see her. My arm was getting sore so we headed back. I opened the door quietly so as not to wake up everyone else in the house. Zoey went to bed and I finally got some decent sleep. That was until I heard loud knocking which woke up the baby, causing her to cry. Mum got the door and I soothed Zoey. Leroy came barging in.
" Blue and Zelena have teamed up and are planning to bring back Pan, " He said in a rush pulled me along, " We need your magic. "
I gave Zoey to Mum and got dressed quickly. I stepped out and everyone looked scared, Emma and Rumple are still weak. I sighed and drew my sword. Wincing at my wound. I recalled Dr Whales words ' no big activity ' I guess that gets thrown right out the window. I started to make an announcement. A speech if you will.
" I just heard that Blue and Zelena have teamed up and our planning to bring back Pan, I may not survive. I just want one thing in return for this, please take care of my family, my friends, one and other. So um yeah, " I said. It's started to walk off the dwarves leading the way. When we were out of ear shot, I tightened my grip on my sword.
" Whats wrong? " Leroy asked his ax in hand like the rest of the dwarves.
" I never told you I had magic, I know that you would never do this so what are you being blackmailed? Cursed? " I asked really hoping I wouldn't need to hurt him.
" They have Astrid, " his voice broke and I put my hand on his shoulder.
" It's ok I understand, " I sighed and continued to walk on, " After this make sure when the fight ends. That my Mum and Dad and Zoey and Henry, that they will be ok. "
He nodded and I took in a shaky breath. I was scared, perhaps for the first time in my life I was truly and honestly scared. Not if death but of everything I had heard of Pan. I just had to stuff away the fear and win. I came face to face with Blue and Zelena. They smirked at me but my face remained straight.
" Now your ready, for this fight, " Zelena said.
" Your child is fine, by the way, Zoey, " I spat out and something changed, for a second, " She needs a mother Zelena, don't let her grow up like you and me, " I said hoping to appeal to her. She faltered for a second and then regained her posture.
" We know I'm not the best role-model, to be honest she can grow up how she pleases, " she shrugged. My anger overcame me at how she just passed off her child. I ran at her swinging my sword. She pushed me back again with magic and I hit the wall. I felt the air being knocked from my lungs. I couldn't breathe so I started my last words.
" I might die today but I'm bringing you down with me, " I said and shot out a fireball. The two of them barely got out the way and I dropped to the ground. I breathed in savouring the air. I found my sword again and raised it. I saw everyone come to watch and help. I put up a protection spell to stop them getting harmed. This is the last fight.
