Hiccup POV

"What are you doing in my house!" a strong voice booms through the room causing the vases around the room to shake. Merida falls, surprised, off the sofa landing with a thump on the floor. I lend her my hand and help her up before looking toward the door to see my father's large figure in the doorway.

"Oh! Um! Hi dad!" I greet/ stammer "I didn't think you were coming back until tomorrow."

"Well it's a good job I came back early!" he answers, walking to us. "Who knows what you could've got up to! I trusted you Hiccup!"

"Well what am I supposed to do when my friend gets kicked out of her own home!" I yell back at him.

He seems quite taken aback by my sudden outburst but he asked for it! He's the one questioning my responsibility!

Merida stands awkwardly at my side, pink faced and scared of my stony faced, burly father. My left hand brushes against her clenched fist making her relax and become a bit less tense. Her beautiful azure eyes flick around the room like a scared mouse looking for any sign of a cat.

"Of all the irresponsible things...!" he begins, seemingly irritated.

"I am trying to help a friend and stop her from being burnt alive!" I retort "how is that irresponsible?"

He just stands, staring at me, obviously annoyed but looks away after a while as if preparing to say something.

"Get your girlfriend and get out," he sighs harshly "stay out of my sight! You're not my son!" And with that he exits the room leaving a scared Merida next to me, clutching my hand in fear.

"Fine!" I whisper, tears threatening to spill down my cheeks. I sleuth upstairs, still holding onto Merida's hand, to my room and collect a few of my belongings into a small rucksack. Merida stays completely quiet as she watches me like a rabbit in headlights. "Let's go!" I sigh, dragging her gently down the stairs and out of the front door, only then does she decide to speak.

"Sorry," she whispers, her ocean blue eyes full to the brim with tears.

"It's not your fault," I assure her, resting my arm across her shoulders soothingly.

"But it is," she wails, a tear spilling from her eyes and down her cheek, "if it wasn't for me you'd still be in your house!"

I hold her shoulders firmly and turn her to face me, staring into her gorgeous eyes. "It is not your fault. You're the best thing that ever happened to me, if my dad can't see that, so be it." I cup her face with my hand and wipe her tear stained cheek with my thumb gently. She smiles up at me weakly as I lace my fingers with hers.

"But where will we go?" she asks worriedly "we can't go back to mine, I'll be murdered! We can't go back to yours, we'll be disowned again! Where will we go?"

I look at her for a while with sympathetic eyes. "We'll go to the forest," I decide "you know how to live there, right?" she nods her head as I continue. "We can find jobs in the town and earn money to buy food and maybe even a proper home we can live in, together. No one needs to know, we can still go to school and stuff and get our qualifications. What do you say?"

"I say, lets go for it!" she says confidently a small smirk spreading across her face. I take this opportunity to press my lips against hers cautiously. She stands there, shocked, for a moment before kissing back and lifting her hands to my shoulders. My arms snake around her waist, pulling her closer to my chest.

We break away slowly, still clutching each other for dear life. "Come on." I say, dragging her to the forest, our new home before we can afford our very own home.

2 years later

We lived in the forest for around a year and were happy together, going to school, hunting, getting jobs. Merida's hair eventually turned back to her usual fiery colour after a good number of washes. I managed to get a job at the town's vets that have me a very good wage for just 12 hours a week. Merida made her own archery business teaching children and adults how to shoot. She carved archery equipment out of the wood in the forest and sold bows and arrows and quivers to her customers. After a year of living happily together in the forest, we finally earned enough money to buy a small cottage on the outskirts of the town, close to both the vets and the archery fields.

A few months after, we graduated from school and had a huge house party at Rapunzel and Jack's house (yes, they're together and living with each other).

Then we come to now. 2 years after the 'red-head traitor' incident and Merida told me to wait in our bedroom so she can tell me something. I sit on the bed nervously as a million negative questions whizz through my mind. The door opens slowly revealing my beautiful girlfriend with her gorgeous eyes and unique hair. "You wanted to tell me something?" I say shakily looking her in the eyes.

"Yeah," she answers nervously making her way towards me. I pat a space on the bed next to me and she slumps down next to me. "You're probably gonna yell at me or something but here goes." She sighs drawing in a deep breath. "I'm pregnant!" she says quickly, closing her eyes and sighing.

My eyes widen in disbelief as I stare at her in wonder. "That's amazing!" I breath as she looks up at me through her pretty azure eyes.

"You're not mad?" she asks.

"Of course not!" I assure her "it is my child isn't it?" I ask in concern pondering why she didn't want to tell me.

I feel a stinging on my cheek and notice her glaring at me; she must've just slapped me. "Of course it's your's, idiot!" she says grinning from ear to ear. A broad smile spreads broadly across my face as I let out a brief chuckle, winding my hand gently around her waist.

"I'm gonna be a dad!" I exclaim excitedly.

She giggles lightly "I'm glad you're happy."

"Happy?" I ask "I'm ecstatic!" I jump up from where I was sitting and turn to face her. My hands grip her waist as I spin her round in happiness.

"Stop Hiccup!" she giggles "I'm getting dizzy!" I gently lower her to the floor. Her arms wind absentmindedly around neck as I secure mine around her waist. She leans her forehead onto my shoulder and whispers "I love you, Haddock."

"Love you too, fire-head." I say, leaning my head against hers. She looks up at me and pecks me quickly on the lips. A small smirk forms on my face as I lean in a second time to kiss her again.

Babysitting the red-heads was the best mistake we ever made!

A/n ever so sorry for the long wait, this is my first part 2 and I had hardly any ideas. If anyone has any requests or ideas for any one shots please tell me as I am at the stage where I only have one or two ideas left.

More one shots to come.
