Chapter 10
*AVERY STARR*
Me and Adalynn kind of wait patiently for the boys to arrive.
Adalynn suddenly trips me when I get up to go to the restroom.
"Adalynn!" I exclaim sharply.
"What?" She shouts.
"You tripped m-" But I don't finish because the door suddenly opens and Joshua and Jacob appear at the door.
Mine and Adalynn's eyes open wide because of how the siblings looks, they look almost like twins!
When they walk over their eyes open wide like ours. "Hi!" They say enthusiastically at the same time.
"WOW, YOU LOOK PRETTY!" They say at the exact same time as we say, "WOW, YOU LOOK HANDSOME!" That was pretty much true but they were exactly alike and we couldn't tell who we were going to date with. They were the same except their height.
"Who is who?" I ask lamely.
"I'm Joshua and he is Jacob." The shorter boy says who is Joshua.
"Can't you tell?" Jacob adds.
"Yeah, we can now." I say now embarrassed that I asked them.
"Okay, let's order, and then eat. I'm starving and my stomach is growling like a dinosaur!" Joshua says jokingly.
"Umm..." I say. "That's weird..."
"Oh, sorry. I am not a gentleman." He says awkwardly. I start to picture a dinosaur in my head.
"Awkward." I hear Adalynn whisper from beside me.
"Yeah, I know right." I respond back as a whisper.
*JOSHUA HAWKES*
I should never have told Avery my stomach is grumbling like a dinosaur. Now she thinks I'm a weirdo, which I am, but she shouldn't have to know that.
I am eating, but I am also blushing, because of the dinosaur thing, of course.
I see someone walk past my table, he looks familiar.
Then, I realize.
It's someone I know.
And it's bad.
