Chapter 15 - Awkward

Chapter 15

*ADALYNN STARR*

"Fire and Gold in our eyeeeees, eyeeeees!" I sing happily.

We are all at Jacob's house, having a four-person-karaoke-party.

Then suddenly we hear a voice behind us. "HI AVERY AND ADALYNN, JACOB AND JOSHUA HAVE TALKED A LOT ABOUT YOU TWO!" Oh, it's Jacob's mom.

"Oh, hi, Mother Slithering." I say. Then I catch my mistake. I just called Jacob's mom what I call my mother! "I'm so so sorry! I'm just so used to having to call my mother-"

"Avery-" she starts.

"Adalynn." I correct her.

"Adalynn! How did you know my middle name is Slithering? Did Jacob or Joshua tell you guys?" She asks.

"No... Actually, that's my mom's middle name. She tells us to call her Mother Slithering. Your middle name is Slithering too? That middle name is very uncommon." I tell her.

"JACOB AND JOSHUA I HAVE AN IDEA YOU SHOULD CALL ME MOTHER SLITHERING BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE I'M STRONG!" She screams at Jacob and Joshua.

"HEY! That's the same reason our mother tells us to call her Mother Slithering!" Avery shouts.

"Really?" Mother Slithering number 2 says.

"YEAH!" Me and Avery scream to her at the same time, happy that we get to scream in the house.

"Okay, how about you invite your parents over here, so my husband, Landron, and I can meet your parents!" She says giddily.

"Sure!" Avery responds. She checks her phone for the time. "I think we have to go home now. It's already past midnight! Our bedtimes are at 8:00. We're in such big trouble!" She says worriedly.

"Don't worry. When your parents come over, we will convince them to not give you a bedtime!" Mother Slithering number 2 says with a huge perfect-teeth-smile.

We stand up, getting ready to leave the house. We walk out the door, but I hear some footsteps behind me, and I see Jacob and Joshua following us out of the house.

"How come you're coming with us?" I ask them.

"Because, we don't want you two to be alone walking in the middle of the night, and anyway we are supposed to protect you! Like Edward Cullen to Bella Swan." Jacob says jokingly.

"You watched and or read Twilight?!" I say, so, completely surprised.

Then, Avery turns around and kisses Joshua. Suddenly I turn around and kiss Jacob on the lips. Automatically. I am so happy. Sisters kissing brothers. Isn't that weird?!

All of a sudden, I hear some other footsteps. I see from the corner of my eye a bunch of people staring at us kissing. I back away from Jacob. "AWKWARD!" I say, so that only the four of us can hear what I just said.

We all start laughing, then we walk to mine and Avery's house.

When we arrive, Mother Slithering number 1 opens the door and is shocked to see Avery and I back home, but with two other people.

"WHO IS THIS?!" Mother Slithering number 1 screams.

"Hi, Mother Slithering number 1!" I say happily.

"WHO IS THIS, I ASKED!" Mother Slithering number 1 gets really mad.

"Hello, Mother Slithering number 1!" Jacob says from behind me. "I am Adalynn's boyfriend!!" He is so happy.

Mother Slithering number 1's face turns as red as tomato. "WHAT?! AND WHO'S THIS, AVERY?"

"I'm her boyfriend." Joshua says awkwardly.

"Our boyfriends' parents want to meet with you and Father Starr tomorrow. Would you be able to go over to their house to meet them?" Avery asks politely.

Mother Slithering number 1 sighs. "Fine."

Yay! She agreed! I wonder what they'll do when they meet. Mother Slithering number 1 and Mother Slithering number 2 are so different! I am excited for tomorrow.
