Katherine hadn't talked to, or even seen, Luke for the past three fucking weeks, and it was honestly driving her up the wall with absolute insanity.
She had called him at least a thousand times and probably left at least thirty messages a day, practically spamming him with multiple 'i'm sorry's' in hopes that she'd maybe, just maybe get lucky and get at least one single text back, even if it was one of him cursing at her like she was Satan.
She just wanted to hear from him, even if she had to hear about how angry he was at her, mainly because she deserved it.
She deserved all the anger in the world. But Luke wouldn't even talk to her. It's like he completely disappeared from her life and just left her there fucking alone and lost. She didn't even see him anywhere outside of class, and even then, he often hid behind crowds of people on purpose, probably to get the fuck away from her.
And she even admitted to being an absolute idiot about everything. She didn't even know that one fucking phrase could hurt him that much, could hurt the both of them that much.
It was mind blowing and she swore, it killed her.
But what killed her the most is having to deal with it absolutely alone because even Calum, her best fucking friend refused to talk to her until she apologized, which was the closest thing to impossible Katherine ever got to other than the time she convinced herself wholeheartedly that she had the force.
Because how do you apologize to someone who refuses to be around you? it was fucking impossible, undoable, nonviable, every word in the dictionary that meant not able to occur and at this point, Katherine had no idea what to do with herself.
"Alright kiddo, i'm heading to bed," Ashton stated, a yawn escaping his lips as his hand reached under his thick rimmed glasses in order to rub his eyes tiredly. "Don't get think too much about that kid."
They had been watching movies for hours now, and it was probably around midnight when they finished the last one, which was undoubtedly, the newest Batman movie, obviously Ashton's choice.
He claimed he deserved it after Katherine had made him watch Angus, thongs, and perfect snogging, and honestly, she couldn't quite blame him. It was a really painfully awkward movie, but he agreed to watching it because it made his little sister happy and the tiniest bit less caught up over a boy she quite frankly ruined all possible chances with ever.
"Sleep tight," the redheaded girl stated, getting up and turning off the small, old, and slightly cracked tv screen in their living room. They always talked about getting a new one, yet no one ever did it, mainly because money was hard to come by and tv wasn't really a necessity.
"Don't let the bed bugs bite," Katherine added, earning a snort from her curly haired older brother who was already halfway up the stairs.
"What are we? Twelve?" He asked teasingly, shaking his head slightly at her awkward choice of words.
The younger sibling frowned slightly. "Don't be an ass," she whined, crossing her arms as she switched off all of the remaining lights downstairs (which, Katherine noticed were only the Kitchen and the living room) before following the brown haired boy up into the dimly lit upper hallway where all the four of the bedrooms in the house were located.
