The next week at school was quite the difference compared to every other week in that year, or any other year. Probably because Katherine had Luke and, y'know friends. Well, if you counted Michael as a friend.

In reality, he probably just wanted to know if Ashton was going to stop by later, or if any of them were going to band practice. Other times, he was just kind of there because he felt like being there, and Katherine took that as a sign that he might be warming up to her.

It was probably impossible, but they all spent a shit ton of time together due to multiple band practices which Katherine invited herself into to Michael's dismay.

He didn't really have anything to complain about though because she was always the one that helped with editing and filming their videos and posting them to their channel.

The redheaded girl rummaged through her locker, sighing as she replaced her books for the next three classes.

She always liked doing that before lunch instead of after because literally everyone did it after and it just made actually getting to her locker through the cloud of awkward freshmen-senior bodies. It also paranoid her that she was going to knee someone in the ass or some shit. Not that she accidentally already did at some point or anything.

"Hello, beautiful," a familiar, happy voice sounded from behind Katherine, making her raise an eyebrow and glance at them from over her shoulder.

"Hi, Luke," she laughed, rolling her eyes at the nickname and grabbing all of her books before closing her locker door behind her.

The blue eyed boy gave her a sweet smile, walking beside her towards the cafeteria and ignoring the weird looks they'd receive. They got them a lot, but it's not like it was difficult to realize that they were sort of a thing. They weren't like dating or anything, but there was something knowingly there.

"So, what dya need?" the grey eyed girl questioned, looking up at him as they went down the few steps leading to the main cafeteria ground. "Has Calum accidentally walked into the women's bathroom again?"

"No?" Luke questioned, his eyes widening at the thought. "I admit that i accidentally have at one point. I got like a shoe to the face," he explained, earning a wince from the girl beside him as they got their lunches.

"Painful," she mumbled, looking around for an empty table as soon as she received her crappy looking, probably poisoned sloppy joe. "Anyway, what brings you to me? Do not tell me you miss me, i refuse to be that couple. You saw me this morning."

The blonde snorted, shaking his head as he spotted a table easily due to his annoying fucking height. It was quite handy, though, having a tall person around, whether it was Calum or Luke or even Ashton and Michael.

They were like the birds in movies that you sent up into the sky to survey the area or something.

"I don't miss you, i just wanted to eat lunch with you, you ass," he stated simply, going over to an empty table by the exit of the cafeteria with Katherine trailing behind. "I'm not clingy."

"You are a dork, though," she responded, earning a glare from the blue eyed boy, who took a seat at the empty table with a pout on his lips.

"That's not very nice," he reminded as he ate his grilled cheese, his cheeks puffed up so that he resembled a tall, blonde chipmunk with fancy hair. "I just wanted to spend time with you and this is how you treat me? I'm hurt, Kat."

The redheaded girl rolled her eyes. "You're so weird," she mumbled, crinkling her nose as he wiggled his eyebrows at her flirtatiously.

"You love it," he sighed sweetly, earning a shake of the head from Katherine as she, too ate her probably poisoned sloppy joe.
