I was pulled up the stairs, unable to fight against them, not having any energy whatsoever. Damon held tightly, and I could feel his strong aura of anger against me, knowing that I had just gotten him into trouble of which I would never know about. "Exactly who is Klaus?" I asked quietly, only Damion replies "A bloodthirsty dick who doesn't care how many people he kills or how many lives are put in danger to get what he wants." I began to mumble "Like you," only he clenched my biceps harder and I felt like I could scream in pain. The two pull me into the hall, where Bonnie talks to Elena and Stefan, a severe tone of fear in her voice. She turns when Damon said "Quit squirming, mini- Klaus." Bonnie turns for me, and Damon released his grip and chucks me to her, Tyler releasing me softly, and I stumble to the floor, exhausted after the long day- which I would love to take back. "Where are you going to take me? Please, somewhere away from him" I ask, emphasising him as Damon, seeing him scowl behind me. "Jack" Elena's comforting voice says. "We're just going to hide you so Klaus can't find you, that's all. No harm will come to you." I try to laugh, just succeeding and then saying "Sure, because I haven't been harmed when I was thrown up against the stairs, pushed into a cell and left without food or water for my entire stay here." My sarcasm pierces the air with my angst tone, only Bonnie then comes over to me, and she kneels down. I look up into her dark brown eyes, seeing that within her heart, she is only doing this to protect her friends. "Jack, I know I've been dreadful to you, but-" I stop her and answer to her invisible pleas with "I will go willingly, without force. I know that you're only doing what is right, to save your friends and this town" I look around to all that surround me, and I then climb to my feet, then, I then begin to walk to the door, fiddling with the silver ring that has been upon my hand for the entire time, feeling the cool touch of my solace.
Bonnie looks around, asking who would take me to my unknown destination and watch me, and then, Caroline, Elena and Stefan step forward, only I am saddened when I don't see the original doppelganger. My heart begins to drop as the three take me to the car, and I slip into the car, my lips dry and aching, quenching for water. My stomach rumbles quietly, only the car starts and overruns the grumble, and we set off, my eyes close slowly, drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
..............................................................................................................
I awoke then Caroline nudged me, offering me a bottle of water. I rub my eyes, eager to drink, only as I step out of the car, I see that Stefan has driven us to a lake house. It is two storeys, and the walls are made of thick oak wood, and I then walk toward it, seeing that the door is open, someone already inside. I follow Stefan and Caroline inside, Jeremy sitting upon the couch, looking upon a strange tattoo upon his wrist. It was the colour of ebony and it looked like a serpentine coil, stretching around his wrist and few ends of it would part and stretch up his arms slightly, only when he turned to notice me, he pulled down his sleeve and covered it, obviously not liking the son of Klaus to see it. "Elena," Stefan began. Elena spun and looked at him, her eyes shining in the dim light and her hair flicking around to her shoulders. "Where do you want Jack to stay?" Jeremy then walks forward and says "I'll take him up into my old room." Jeremy walks in front of me and up the stairs, leading me to a green oak door, and when he pushes it open, he reveals where I would be lodging. "Here you go" he said, looking directly at me in the eyes.
I enter, only I then listen as he asks "Anything else?" I turn to him, and I sigh "Jeremy, why do you all treat me so bad when I am nothing like what you say Klaus, my father, is? You could cut me some slack, you know. I just lost my parents, my sister, and tonight Uncle Ben. I am completely alone in this God forsaken world, and I am treated like I'm the killer in this scenario when I am the victim!" I plop onto the bed, few tears dropping as images of my parents and sister flood in, and now, I knew that I was just an orphan, another somebody with no family nor life. "Jack, I knew exactly what it feels like to be in your place. Well, not with the whole being son of a killer, but having no one in your life." I look up, and Jeremy takes a seat beside me. "After my parents died, then Vicki and then Anna, so did my Aunt Jenna, followed by Uncle John, and then Elena, I felt as if I were in a living hell, an eternity of darkness, only Elena came back, as a vampire. Jack, we've all felt like that." I shake my head, my fringe fell from my forehead and back, and I protest "Stefan has Damon, Caroline has her mother, Elena has always had you-" Jeremy then shook his head, causing me to stop.
"Elena didn't always have me. I didn't always have her, either. We were both alone like that once." I sit up, crossing my legs, and then I ask "What do you mean, Jeremy?" He then cleared his throat, and he then said "Back around two thousand and twelve, I became a member of the Five, an ancient group of hunters out to kill Silas, the eldest immortal in the entire of history, and because Elena was a vampire, she had lost me. I was able to be brought back, only shortly after, Elena lost me again. When we all set out to find the Cure, Bonnie and I found the Cure, I was killed in order to bring back the first immortal who was frozen in time with the Cure, Silas, only that wasn't the end. Being the descendant of Qetsiyah, the most powerful witch in all the world, Bonnie had the power to bring me back. After everything happened, like the breaking of the veil to the other side and - my death- Bonnie used a large amount of Expression, the darkest of magic, and brought me back, leaving me with this mark" Jeremy then showcased the strange mark upon his wrist, and he then finished "It is a sign to all witches that I am a token of Expression and am not to be meddled with."
"But you still have some people you love." I then slowly fell back, landing upon the bed, and then I mutter "But I guess I might have my father, or at least, Katherine." I felt my heart slowly rise as I said her name, only Jeremy looked away from me as his phone made a noise to indicate he had received a text message. He then pulled his phone from his front left pocket and read the password. I leaned over his shoulder and read what was there. A text message from Damon that read: Klaus is here.
