"NO!" I scream, my heart almost jumping out of my chest. I then turn and flash out of the building, along with Klaus and all the others following, feeling my heart beat rapidly, hoping that he would be okay. Would he be okay? Would he have survived the fall and only have a few broken bones? Please, God, let him be okay. Klaus and I emerged from the doors of the building, looking upon the lifeless body only few feet away. Jack lay still, no motion in him, not even a heart beat, and his eyes were closed, while his face looked as if it lost it's touch of sun and was replaced with the colour of frostbite. I ran to him, dropping to my knees by his side, feeling nothing but despair inside of myself, slowly eating me alive, along with nearly every other emotion I had.
I began to shake his body, hoping there was any way I could bring him back from the death that slowly abducted him, stealing him from the bright of day known as life. "No, Jack? Jack?! Jack! Please, don't die on me." I then checked for any signs of danger around me, then, I yelled "Can you hear me? Open your eyes. What is your name? Squeeze my hand." There was no response, no sign of movement, nor life, and I then look up to them, demanding "Call 911!" Elena reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone, and as she called, I opened his mouth, then, I looked to see his chest rise, listen if he was breathing, and I felt his pulse, but to no avail would he awaken. I then place my hands in the centre of his ribcage, and I begin pumping, breathing into his mouth every thirty pumps, and this continued for two minutes, but I realised what had happened. I had to take in the fact that he was truly gone.
Tears trickled down my face, landing upon either the lifeless boy, my knees or the stone floor, but then, Klaus then looks over to Bonnie. "You can fix him. Heal him! Bring him back!" I turned to the teenage witch, and all eyes were on her, the pressure heavy. "I can't." Klaus was about to grab her by the neck while asking "Can't or won't?" Bonnie then explained "Expression can only bring him back, and I can't risk all the lives being lost if I use it just once." I stepped in, my face wet from my tears, angrily, sadly saying "Well, every supernatural on this damn planet will die if you don't do it! Bonnie, bring him back!" Bonnie inhaled and exhaled, making the decision, only Jeremy then muttered something under his breath. "What?" Matt asks. "I can bring him back" the young Gilbert boy said, then, he got to his knees beside Jack, only he said "Bonnie, I need your help." Bonnie then began to protest "I can't use Expression, Jeremy." Jeremy looked up and said "It doesn't require Expression, I just need you to be able to channel Jack to me."
Everyone looked down to Jeremy and Jack, and Elena hung up the phone, and Bonnie then knelt down beside me. Bonnie then extended one hand out to Jreemy's shoulder, and then, the other upon Jack's heart, and then, Bonnie took a deep breath,, then beginning the spell.
"Iste sanctus est retrorsum curabo eum pro peccatis suis, vicissim excitet animum, et ad eum diem abire sinerent contra eum. Iste sanctus est retrorsum curabo eum pro peccatis suis, vicissim excitet animum, et ad eum diem abire sinerent contra eum."
All watched as Jeremy began to lose breath, and when Elena tries to move forward, Damon stops her, but then, he regains breath, while the spell takes effect. All see the black marks upon Jeremy's wrist begin to ripple, twirling and moving in serpentine ways, until, the black mark began to sweep away, through his fingertips, and it changes it no a violet glowing light as it passes through Bonnie, only as it appears on Jack's skin, it begins to move upwards of his left arm, moving in for his chest. I then reach out and tear open his shirt, revealing the blackness moving for his his heart area. It then stops there, pausing, only it begins to move around, becoming what looks like that tattoo of ravens feathers, for the darkness it as dark as night. The mark then covers his entire left of his two pecs, and some parts of it moving for his upper chest, and then, the black markings sink into his skin.
Jeremy then looks at his wrist, only there is half of the mark of what was there few moments before. I look upon Jack, my hearing focused on his heart, not beating. My sight focused on his face, for any signs of life. My heart set on praying to God, wanting nothing more than to see him alive again. There was then a sudden beat among the silence, an opening iof the eyes and the sight of the boy reawakening. He gasps as he rises, sitting up as he breathes for air. "Katherine!" He then pulls me in for a hug, and tears of joy cascade down my face, my heart rising at the touch of hs warm body, which thankfully, is fully in tact with life.
“How am I- How is it possible?” Jack asks frantically, smiling with the feeling of being able to feel life again, of being among the living. “You have Jeremy and Bonnie to thank for that” I explain, and Jack looks to the Gilbert boy and asks “How?” Jeremy smiled and raised his hand up to eye level, revealing the now half remaining mark, and Bonnie then smiled. “Thank you!” He pulls them in for a hug, in which Bonnie smiles, then, Caroline giggles along with Elena, and Bonnie replies “This is great and all, but you’re not wearing a shirt.” Jack pulls away, looking down, in which he realises that the stab wound has been healed, revealing no sign of scar tissue, and he then notices the new magical mark of the spell that brought him back. Jack then gets to his feet, as do Jeremy, in which he helps Bonnie to her feet, and Jack extends his and, smiling down at me. I smile back up at him, pulling myself up with his help, until Jack then explains “You all have no idea how thankful I am. You came to save me, risking your own lives. I am eternally grateful- even to you, Damon.”
Damon put on a smirk, although no matter how hard he tried to hide the fact that he felt touched by that comment, it was visible to all that he felt flattered. Jack then looked over to Klaus, obviously, Jack wold find it difficult to confront him, especially after all that has happened between the two. “Klaus,” Jack began slowly. “Please, call me Dad” Klaus explained, but Jack shook his head and said “No. I won’t do that, because I don’t even know if I want you in my life after all the things you have put me through.” Klaus’ face went dull, and Jack explained “You handed me over to people who you knew I would love, then have them thrown off a bridge in order to kill me, only then, you plot my death yet again, and now, look where it has gotten us.” Klaus’ face was covered in shame, with a tint of anger, but Jack then finished with “I would bet anything half, or even the entire reason, that you wanted me back was so that you wouldn’t die. Now, I don’t know if I’m willing to give you a second chance yet, but I need time.”
Klaus nodded, and he then said “As you wish.” Klaus flashed away, vanishing as if he were never here, and then, Jack looked directly at me in the eyes, and he then said “I’m so glad I didn’t lose you.” Jack and I lean in to kiss, but suddenly, Jack pulls away, his face looking as though he were in agonising pain. He clenched his gut, and my eyes were focused on him, and I asked “What is it? Are you okay?” Jack looks up from his gut, and then, he bit his lip, then exclaiming “I think I’m transitioning.” My jaw dropped, and all were in shock. Jack was transitioning from boy to beast, from human to the Ultimate Hybrid, from mortal to an Original.
