Ravens pov:
Have you ever had that feeling of loss? No hope left at all? I have. And I now know that Jackson is my rock. I could not survive without him.
I've been living in his house for a while. I haven't seen anyone there. I doubt they even know I'm sleeping in their house.
I've gotten used to the fact that Jackson is going to sneak into the bed, so I just ignore him.
Every day I would pray for things to be better. That I could just settle down, you know? And try not to be wanted by all the rich men around the country. The way I see it, I may have to just be Emma Watts from now on. Yep. That's my name. I was declared dead a year back.
Some refuse to believe it though. I may have to come back as a completely new person. And go to school. A shove runs up my spine at that word. School. Sounds evil. I was never a big fan, even at six years old.
I've probably fallen behind a heap. But I could pull through, right? Jackson doesn't go to school anymore. He would if I did though. I know that.
I wonder if he likes school. Judging by his attitude, I'm guessing against it.
I was paying Jim's shop a visit one day when I saw a man. At first, I just glanced his way then ignored him.
But then, after buying all I needed, I took more notice of him.
He was skinny. His clothes looked like rags and he limped. Of course, I was wearing my hood and mask, like always.
He glanced my way. Then went back to daydreaming about buying food I'm guessing. I've seen this before, but normally I take in people younger than me.
This guy was defiantly older. Three years older, give or take. He won't go to school. He hasn't had a decent sleep or a shower in days. Let alone food, judging by his appearance.
I wandered slowly over to him. I held my head high. Grateful because the masks conceal all but my eyes. He freezes standing watching me approach.
I pull a knife out of my pocket. Then a wad of cash. I give him about a thousand dollars. "Here", I say putting the stuff in his hand.
I turn and walk away. I hear a voice.
"Thanks. Emma".
I freeze in my place. I turn on my heel. Before he blinked I had him pinned down. "How do you know my name"? I growled fiercely.
"A little bird told me", he smirked.
"I'm not here for joking around. Now how did you get that information"? I say strangling him.
He choked slightly making me release my grip a tad.
"Em. It's me. Your"...
"Miss Raven. Or though I'm not fond of rules I'm going to have to ask that you release the guy and leave", Jim instructs me.
I mutter and growl under my breath. I pick up my stuff and leave. I still hadn't gotten my answer!
I stomp back down the road and disappear into the woods.
I come out near the house. I drag the stuff inside and go up to Jackson's room. It may as well be both of ours now, without that sounding too cheesy.
Then I disappear into the woods and try to calm myself down. It was no use. My head was full of rage. I started to run. I ran as far as I could before I say down puffed.
I hadn't been here before. But I knew my way back alright. I just had to cool off. But that guy! I just have a natural instinct to tease and annoy him as he annoys me. Much like people fighting. Like they were born to have arguments. It made me mad and confused.
