Chapter forty nine

About an hour later I was a full alpha of six other members. My packs mark had appeared on everyone's shoulder/neck after I finished the gruesome job of biting each one of them. I felt sick.

We were making s'mores by the still blue fire. Our pack mark was like a normal pack mark. It had a silver moon with a wolves paw that included huge claws inside it. But it had a star in the middle of the paw and number one in Roman numerals through the whole thing.

It was slightly unexpected. The Roman numerals and the star are not normal in a pack mark but each one is unique so there's no surprise really. 

Our packhouse is now spotless. The electricity is perfect we have hot water and cold of course and phone lines. Werewolves are normally rich. We aren't however. We are struggling to pay the electricity bill. Seriously how do humans do it! I never had to worry about this before.

 I keep getting werewolf letters and the newspaper in the mail. It's the usual. Werewolf murders. Land being stolen. The death of an alpha. Rouges. But one page catches my eye... It was a picture of me. The headlines read "Death of Saviour Raven Hood"

I read the article.

Raven hood also known as Emma Watts is now dead.

There is no proof of the hypothesis. But alpha of her old pack discovered a note covered in blood stating that she was murdered so they would no longer be the strongest pack in the world. Emma is also well known in the human world as a lifesaver and a skilled thief. She is wanted around the country. But no longer shall humans or rouges have to worry about her out fighting or outsmarting them. Alpha Finn fears now that they will be attacked because Emma is gone. Alpha Finn warns all rouges reading this that Emma taught each wolf of their pack everything she knew. Even the females. Emma's mate Liam, her best friend Rosa, and her best friends mate Greyson have now disappeared off the face of the earth. Search teams have been sent out in search of them. People suspect that Liam committed suicide in loss of his mate as most male wolves do after losing their mate. They weren't fully mated either. Recently Emma nearly brutally murdered her old mate Jackson.

"She just got mad I didn't know what to do. I simply challenged Liam for her since she was my mate first" states Jackson.

We have been informed that Jackson rejected her then she ran away only to find her true mate Liam. Emma was considered a monster wolf as on the headlines about a week ago. Now that she's gone we are getting different ideas. She is now confirmed dead. Or though trackers and search parties are still being sent out by alpha Finn. Let her rest in peace.

I'm not surprised about what's been said in the paper. But I still manage to just stare at it for about 10 minutes before I get my bearings back. Now I'm not sure the playing dead thing was a good idea. 

I sigh and go back to paperwork. It's not possible. We can't keep paying the bills. We are running terribly low on money. I'd say if we don't do something we'll have no power in a week max. I need to get money somehow.

"Steal it" instantly comes to mind.

About 10 km away there's a mansion. I've done my research. A very wealthy family lives there. They're humans and have at least a million bucks in the bank. And a few hundred thousand just lying around the house. It's so tempting knowing where it is and not being able to take it.

It's instinct. I'm kicking myself. But I can't stand it! At midnight I sneak out. I was in and then out with in 30 minutes. It'll last us a long time. I feel slightly guilty but it'll pass. I'm sorting through the cash when Liam comes it.

"Emma? I know your busy being alpha and all but tomorrow night will you go on a date with me"?

It's been forever since we went on a date. I smile.

"Of course I will".
