Chapter thirty nine

"So you actually do have really strong Alpha blood"?

I was sitting in a small meadow with Louis. We talked and I eventually brought up the whole new pack idea thing.

"Yep"!

"Awesome! Do you know what this means"?

"No. Not really".

He rolls his eyes at me smirking his classic smirky grin.

"This will be easy! They HAVE to say yes now"! He stands up and pulls me to my feet.

He picks me up and spins me around. I laugh!

"Put me down you overgrown hippo"! I scream.

He puts me down on the ground again.

"Hey uh Louis"?

"Yes"... He draws out the word.

"Would you, umm join the new pack? When I have it I mean"?

"God Em you were frightening me there! I thought you'd never ask"! He says picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. I giggle and squeal.

"Thanks Lou! But put me down"! I scream even louder than before.

I pound my fists against his back but it seems to have no effect. I wasn't really trying or else I would have hurt him.

"Okay Em if you say so".

You can guess what happened next. He dropped me in a lake. God was it cold! I held my breath and quickly thought of a plan. The lake was quite deep. About a metre over my head. I frantically splashed about in the water. Trying to act like I couldn't swim and was drowning.

"Help"! I choke.

"I . Can't. Swim"! I say between breaths.

His face turns to a panicked expression. He holds out his hand for me to grab. I paddle frantically over to it. He was kneeling on the small dock reaching down.

"Quick grab hold"!

I grabbed his hand and of course pulled him in too. We were now both soaked. For a human it would be freezing! Good thing we aren't normal! I started bursting out into laughter.

"Your face"! I stutter.

Trying to contain my laughing. I clamp my hands over my mouth but still manage to grin and turn red like a maniac. He scowls at me and starts splashing me. Soon enough we are full on having a water fight. I swim in strong strokes to the end of the lake. Then I go underwater. I hold my breath and emerge right in front of him.

"Boo"!

He stumbled back in surprise.

"What"? I ask.

"You seriously thought I couldn't swim"?

His face turns a light shade of pink.

"I made you blush"!!!

He frowns at me the redness in his cheeks disappearing. Louis showed me a cave he had been sleeping in lately. It was covered with moss and a tree hid most of it. It was concealed beneath its roots. It had some moss in the corner with a faded sheet. Some cans of food were stacked in the corner.

"Tuna"? He offers.

"Thanks but no thanks".

"Suit yourself", he took a big bite.

I shudder. I hate tuna. Instead, I find a deer and bring it down, eating some of it. After cooking it on a small fire of course. After my meal, I give the deer to Lou. No need for it to be wasted.

I head back to the packhouse. It was getting late. I had gone to visit Lou straight after training. Liam ran over and hugged me tightly. Tingles spread throughout my body. It's moments like these that I lived for. Nothing could bring down my mood. Not today.

"Liam"? I asked as sweetly as I could.

"Yes Babe"?

"Will you come with me and start a new pack"?

"What"?

"It's legal I swear we just have to get the werewolf council to allow us permission and since I have alpha blood there's a 99.99% chance they'll say yes. Please"?

"Are you sure"?

"Positively"!

"Then okay".

"Yes I know we would have to leave and it's a big ask... Wait, what"?

"If your sure and you want me to come them of course I will"!

"Really? Wow, that was easy"!

He laughs and gives me a bear hug nearly crushing my ribs.

"Can't breath"...

"Oh right sorry"!

"Liam"?

"Yes"?

"Can we invite some other people as well"?

"You're alpha aren't you"?

I smile up at him.

"I mean by Rosa and Greyson".

"Sounds good".

"But wait, Liam"?

"Yes"?

"I've already asked someone and they said yes. But I'm not sure if you'll like him".

"Him"? Liam's asks his eyes turning dark.

"Yes. He's a rouge".

"What?! A freakin rouge"!

"Yes, he's living on the pack land now. He gave me the courage to do it".

"He can stay as long as he makes no moves on you".

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! Oh, by the way, his names Louis".

"Louis huh"?

"Yep", I say happily.

"Now we just have to contact the council somehow", I say deep in thought...
