Raven/Emma pov

I wake up in a white room. I'm in a double bed in a room painted white. It reminded me of a hospital. I saw one on tv once.

There were three doors. One was a closet one a bathroom and the other leads out into a hallway. Judging by my nose.

I suddenly sit up hurriedly. Bad idea. It causes the room to start spinning and I get a killer headache.

I've only got one thing on my mind. Get out of here!

I have to go. Wait where am I? I remember I was so tired I collapsed.

I didn't think I was in a territory though.

I wonder if they'll kill me. I did trespass.

It's kinda against werewolf law, apparently.

I know I'm a new wolf. I shouldn't know all this but... Jackson... He... Taught me...

Oh Jackson. I was in love.

He was my mate. My only mate. I don't have a second chance.

I'll go half soulless for the rest of my life.

And it will eat away at me slowly until I just disappear into nearby air as my soul escapes leaving my body to rot down into ashes that will drift in the forest breeze.

I hear the door handle turn.

I lie back down and pretend to be asleep causing more pain to surge through my head.

I frown and bight me lip to stop myself from hissing in pain.

Three people enter the room.

One comes over and tests my breathing which I try to slow.

It's a female werewolf. I'm guessing she's a nurse. She smells of medicine and clean hospital rooms.

The two others just seem to be standing by the door. As if guarding it?

The smell of silver whiffs up my nose.

I sit up in shock.

The nurse jumps back.

I shake my head to clear the headache.

I look around for an escape.

The doors blocked. The others lead to dead ends.

The only other option is the window.

The guards follow my gaze.

I jump off the bed and run towards the window.

But the guard beats me to it.

I growl from the back of my throat.

I expect him to growl back.

Instead, he chuckles quite loudly.

I growl louder.

He laughs loudly.

I grab his arm and flip him. My wolf took over for a second.

I sit on his back holding him in the painful position.

I growl in his ear softly so only he can hear.

"Never underestimate a girl especially not me"!

I jump out the window just as the other guard rushes towards me while the nurse huddles in the corner. Wimp.

The glass smashes around me. I change in mid-air. My wolf needs a run but is tired.

"Follow her! She can't make it past the border the tracker collar won't let her! Just corner her and get her back".
