I walked around after the rest of the people’s names were called. I tried to get comfortable with Kyle holding my hand, but I felt like everyone’s eyes were on me. I was stopped by a couple people, but for the most part people just watched me from afar. The people who stopped me would offer to try and trigger my power. I didn’t know what they had in mind, but I just wanted to talk to the Prince and Princess. I’m sure they’ve had plenty of people not know what their power was. They would probably just do a bunch of tests for strength and other types of powers. I’m not as worried, now that I know they wouldn’t kill me…right away.

I was snapped back into reality by Kyle pulling my hand. I looked over at him and saw a silly, childish grin on his lips. He pointed over at something to the right. I wasn’t sure what he was pointing to until he said,

“Look they have a claw machine!”

I laughed out loud at the voice he said it in. His husky voice was really high and childish. I was also laughing at the fact that he found a claw machine in the middle of a ballroom. We walked over to it, still holding hands. There was no line, so he started moving the claw toward one of the brown packages. We didn’t have to pay, but there was a limit of 3 tries.  There was a scanner looking thing next to it. I guess that’s how they tell how many times you go. The machine was full of little packages all wrapped in different colors. The one Kyle was going after was wrapped in brown. I watched the claw move. He stopped right above the box and let the claw drop. I squealed with delight when the claw closed around the box on his first try. The claw came back up and dropped the brown package into a hole that would lead it to the outside where Kyle and I were. I was shocked when Kyle handed me the box to open. I held the box that was almost the size of my hand in my hand. I looked at Kyle again and he nodded, telling me to open it. I giggled, because we were making a huge deal. I quickly ripped of the top. I looked down and smiled. In it was a bouncy ball. I picked it up out of the box. I rolled it over in my hands. On one half of the ball, it had a heart and on the other side it had a “u”. It was a deep red color, so the vibrant pink of the heart glowed even brighter. I loved it. I showed it to Kyle and he smiled and then had a look on his face that looked serious. He stayed still for about 3 minutes before I snapped my fingers in front of his face. He snapped back into reality, and apologized for zoning out.

By this time, it was dark outside. We walked over to the balcony, by the front door, together. I stood by the railing like a princess. Kyle came next to me and held my hand as we looked around. I jumped suddenly when I saw a lightning bug <firefly> by the entrance to the while palace! I loved those things! I pulled Kyle’s hand, much like he had just done for the claw machine, down the stairs and toward the door. The guards stopped us at the bottom, but let us go once we explained that I wanted to catch lightning bugs. They actually laughed a little and to go to the right side of the castle, because there was trees and the bugs liked them. Kyle was laughing next to me, as I pulled his hand and ran. As we were running, I thought for a moment that I had super speed, but that was proven wrong as Kyle sped up. Darn, that would’ve been cool to have matching powers. I started giggling when Kyle picked me up so we could get there faster. We made it to the other side of the huge building soon after. When Kyle set me down, I looked around and gasped! It was beautiful! There was a maze and in what looked like the middle was a bunch of trees. Also, the trees had the lightning bugs in it, so it was all light up. We walked slowly hand in hand toward the entrance of the maze. We seemed to both be in a trance at the sight of the garden beauty all around. There were no words to describe it besides simply prefect. We spent a long time just going through the maze, it wasn’t a maze, and it was just a long, winding tunnel. When we finally made it to the middle, I gasped again! There was a big oak tree in the middle of a bunch if other trees. The outside lights were on dimly, so I could make out red leaves of cherry trees. They were my favorite trees. We caught fireflies for about a half an hour and then laid down together under the big oak tree. We gazed upward and watched the tree light up from the bugs. It was beautiful and it reminded me so much of when I was little. Eventually our gazes turned toward each other and I saw the sparkle in his eye. He whispered out 3 words that lit my world on fire,

“I love you.”

I smile and replied back in a love filled tone,

“I love you, too.”

My world was perfect. I didn’t think about anything else that moment. I didn’t have to worry about not having a power.

Hi guys! I am so sorry about the long wait! And also, this is OFF the what’s hot list! Please get back on it! If not, I don’t think I’ll continue. I hate to say it, but if people don’t like it, then I won’t continue.
