<Xavier's p.o.v>
Blake and Corey kept telling me to calm down, that she was okay.
But they were just lying to themselves.
How could she be okay? She's been gone all frigging afternoon.
Where could she go, that Corey, Blake or myself wouldnt have access to?
Then, I swear a lightbulb popped up above my head.
I gasped and started running to a class.
I stopped at the nearest one, and knocked on the door.
I entered the classroom, and the room fell silent.
I turned to the teacher.
Mr. Biggs.
Chemistry teacher.
Fairly laid-back.
I cleared my throat, and he turned to me.
"I am terribly sorry to interrupt your lesson, but may I just borrow one person to help the Head teacher with moving some tables?"
Mr. Biggs sighed, but nodded.
"You pick." Several hands shot up.
I scanned the crowd for a girl.
I saw one, and picked her.
She smiled triumphantly and picked up her stuff to follow me out of the classroom. Once we were out of earshot, I turned to her.
"Can you keep a secret?" She frowned and nodded.
"I didn't actually need you to move tables," I told her urgently. She frowned, but motioned for me to continue. I did. "My friend, Hope Evans, had gone missing. We think she might be in the girl's toilets. But," I motioned to myself, "I'm not a girl."
The girl nodded, putting it all together.
"So you want me to go check for her." She finished. I nodded.
She smiled.
I sighed a sigh of relief and told her to start at the toilets by the canteen.
She opened the door gingerly, and shut it behing her.
I heard muffled sounds coning from within, and then I heard a gasp.
My heart stopped.
She came back out again, face pale.
I raised my eyebrows.
"Um... Well, she's definitely in there." I nodded slowly. "But... There's a load of blood coming from the cubicle she's in."
My eyes widened and I marched into those toilets.
I immediately saw said cubicle and rushed to it.
"Hope!" I called out. A soft groan was heard from her cubicle.
Definitely her.
"Hope... Don't worry, Im gonna get you out." I told her.
No response.
I took a deep breath and swung my rucksack off my shoulders.
I got my purse and took a pound coin out.
You see, at my school, the locks on the outside have a small indent in them, which you can turn anticlockwise to unlock the door.
I slid the coin, and it fit perfectly.
I turned the lock and opened the door with haste.
Hope was lying on the floor, deadly pale, and there was masses of blood oozing from a cut just above her forehead.
I put a hand to cover my mouth in shock.
I ran to her, and turned her body over.
Her eyes were closed.
I bit my lip, and lifted her bridal style.
I carried her out of the bathroom, and to reception.
I told the receptionist that she had called over in P.E and had to go home. I also said that I was asked to escort her home.
The receptionist just grunted and let me out.
I ran to my car and started the engine.
Corey and Blake came running out too.
"Bro, where you going?"
"I gotta take Hope to mine." I told them.
Corey and Blake shrugged and went to the side of my car.
They opened the door and started to get in.
"Woah, what do you think your doing?!" I asked them.
"No way do you get to skip school and we don't. We're coming with you whether you like it or not." I sighed and started the engine. Again.
I didn't have time for arguing.
