School.

No way was I gonna let Hope get away with that excuse she came up with yesterday.

I had to ask.

But I couldn't push her too hard.

Otherwise, she might shatter.

That was how I always felt around Hope.

She seemed so fragile, like if you just touched her, she'd shatter into a billion and one pieces.

I got dressed and ready, and set off for school.

It was Friday.

My worst day of the week.

And probably Hope's too, since I saw her have that panic attack last week. Man, that seemed like yesterday.

I walked to school with Blake, and ignored all the looks girls were giving me.

Then I went to my locker, got my stuff, and went to find Hope.

I saw her in the corridor.

Her eyes were darting around nervously, and she had fresh bruises on her face.

I ran to her.

"Hope, are you okay?" She didn't answer, just stared straight ahead.

A load of girls were giving her dirty looks, but she didn't seem to realize.

"Hope, what happened yesterday?"

Again, nothing.

I stood in front of her, blocking her path.

"Hope! Please, just answer me!"

She side-stepped me, and carried on walking.

But, I saw something in her eyes, a flash of something.

I couldn't quite define it-

Fear, vulnerability, panic?

I saw that, and I knew for definite something was happening that she wasn't telling me about.

"Hope... What are you not telling me?" I saw it again, but it had gone as quickly as it had come.

She carried on walking.

Then, she stopped.

She was staring at someone.

Megan.

Megan was staring back with mailce.

"Hey, X, you might want to get away from there before you catch rabies, or something." She told me.

I shot her a look.

"Shut up, Megan." Her eyes nearly popped out their sockets.

"Oh, so now your defending the twat?" She half-yelled at me.

"She isn't a twat, Megan. If anything, your the twat." I told her.

Hope just walked away.

But Megan wasn't done yet.

"Don't you walk away, bitch." Hope stopped, swivled around, stormed over to Megan and punched her in the jaw.

As soon as she had done it, Hope liked down at her fist, horrified and ran off.

Megan, however, was squealing and screaming.

"Aah! Oh no, I've got the Hopeless germs. I think I'm going to die!"

I just shook my head at her and ran after Hope.

As soon as I punched Megan, I immediately regretted it.

I knew where I had caught this attitude.

I was turning into Harvey.

Punching people who hadn't done anything wrong.

I was just so pissed at everyone.

Xavier for asking questions non-stop.

Megan for being a complete and utter bitch.

And myself, for turning into some kind of monster.

I ran to the girls toilets, so Xavier couldn't follow me, and sat in a cubicle and cried my life out.

After I'd finished, I just sat there, feeling useless.

My life felt completely empty.

I had nothing left to live for.

I was Unwanted, Broken and Abused.

<Xavier's p.o.v>

I wasn't too sure what had happened to Hope, she only punched Megan.

And I would have, too, if Hope hadn't gotten there first.

I didn't see Hope again, until lunch, where she sat down next to Bkake and me.

Her eyes were darting around, and she was very aware of all the death glares girls were giving her from all around.

"What's up, Hope?" Blake asked.

She took a deep breath, got a notepad and pen, and wrote;

Is it okay if I stay at yours over the weekend, Xavier?
