<Hope''s p.o.v>

As soon as I slammed the door behind me, tears fell freely from my cheeks.

I couldn't believe I'd spoken, much less yelled.

I was so ashamed at myself.

I had scared them both to bits.

I was a monster.

I was turning into him.

I was turning, and now I couldn't stop.

I kept up my pace, and came to some broken glass.

Before I knew what I was doing, I picked a piece up and sliced my skin with it.

I sliced over and over again, all up both my arms, until I realized what I had done, and I realized how much of a true monster I was.

How much I deserved to die.

There was a pool of blood trickling from my arms, but I didn't care.

I didn't care at all.

Nothing mattered to me any more.

I was swaying dangerously, and I was leaving a trail of blood behind, but I couldn't care less.

I kept walking until exhaustion washed over me, and I collapsed to the ground.

<Xavier's p.o.v>

After Hope left, I frantically ran to her care home.

I knocked on the door and I asked if she'd come in.

She hadn't.

My heart rate shot up to about a million beats per minute.

I ran through the streets, screaming her name until my throat was sore.

I did this for hours, until Blake told me to rest.

But I couldn't.

This girl was driving me crazy.

I then went back to the care home and asked again.

Her two roommates came to the door. I asked about her, and they shared a nervous glance.

"You better come in." The older one, Rebecca, was it? Said.

I frowned and walked in.

"What happened?" I asked.

Rebecca shifted her feet.

"Its all my fault!" She cried.

"What's your fault?" I asked cautiously.

"Its not your fault!" Hana exclaimed.

Rebecca took a deep breath and explained to me what happened.

When she had finished, I ran my hands through my hair nervously.

Hope sounded like she was near breaking point.

I thanked them quietly, and left.

But, just as I was leaving, Hana called out to me.

"Wait!" I swivled around to face her. "Um.. Can we help find her?" She gestured to herself and Rebecca.

I sighed. The more help I got in finding her, the better.

I nodded and they smiled.

They followed me out of the house.

"So... Where do we go from here?" I frowned.

"I have no idea." We started meandering down the street.

We kept going, feeling a pull toward a certain direction, for no particular reason.

We kept going until we reached some broken glass.

I would have just dismissed it and carried on walking... If I hadn't seen the pool of blood surrounding it.

I shot a worried look at Rebecca and Hana and followed the trail of blood.

"Why doesn't Hope speak?" Hana asked suddenly. I took a deep breath.

"I'm not in a position to tell you." Hana nodded, and carried on following the trail.

"But she spoke today." I sighed and nodded.

"She speaks when she wants to. Which, isnt often." I say solemnly.

Hana nods again.

Then, I see a slumped figure in the distance. I glance at Rebecca and Hana to check if they could see that.
Clearly the could, as they were wearing the same hopeful but shocked expressions.

I hurried and started to run toward the slumped figure.

When I reached close enough, I saw the face.

Hope.

She was as pale as ever, but this time her wrists were cut and she was almost drowning in her own bold.
