<Hope's p.o.v>
The first thing I was aware of was the throbbing in the back of my head.
Then, the silhouette staring down at me.
I had to blink twice to recognize who it was.
It was Harvey.
Just like that, all of the previous events came fishing back to me like a slap in the face.
I cowered away from the silhouette in the doorway.
It laughed and stepped out of the shadows.
"Did you sleep well, kitten?"
He said the last bit with considerable hate.
I shuddered and kept cowering.
He stepped forward and 'accidentally' stomped on my leg.
I gasped in pain, and brought my knee up to my chin.
I sat there, in the corner, shuddering, waitimg for a response.
"Well, the time is 6:00am. And I know you have school, but I just want to have my fun first."
I bit my lip and looked up at the advancing monster in front of me.
I scrabbled up into a standing position, and ran out of the open door.
I kept on running despite my injuries.
I couldn't feel anything but the andrenalin coursing through my body at that moment.
And that, somehow, was enough to get me out the house and away from Harvey.
I ran until my legs were numb, and all the adrenanlin was out of my body.
Then I went to the only place I'd ever felt safe.
Xavier's house.
I knew he'd ask questions, but I had to get away, and cleaned up for school.
I knocked on the front door and Xavier, wearing a navy nightgown and slippers, answered the door with a yawn.
His eyes nearly popped out of their skulls when he saw me on his doorstep, exhausted and hurting.
He did, however, waste no time in ushering me inside and sitting me down on his couch.
He sat next to me, and I tensed up. He didnt seem to notice. That was good. He just stared at me, his eyes full of worry, and he called Blake.
I was too tired to listen to anything he was saying, and soon drifted off to sleep.
<Xavier's p.o.v>
Hope had come to my door, and I was utterly confused.
I called Blake at the first chance I could and begged him to come over.
So he did, and by the time he had arrived, Hope had drifted off to sleep.
She looked so peaceful, and beautiful while she was sleeping.
Blake knocked at the door, and I answered in and let him inside.
At first, all he could do was stare in shock.
Just then, Hope stirred and woke up.
She jumped when she saw both of us staring at her.
I touched her arm, and asked her;
"Hope, are you okay?" She didn't answer, instead, she tensed all over as soon as I touched her shoulder.
Then she started shaking.
Violently.
She was breathing in short gasps again, and I had no idea what to do.
"Hope! Are you okay? Should I call an ambulence?" Her eyes widened and she shook her head.
I made eye-contact with Blake, and we both just watched her while she slowly calmed down.
I wanted to know what had happened, but she just looked so fragile, I didn't want to break her.
So we just stayed there in slience.
Every now and them, Hope would shoot a worried glance at the door.
Then Blake broke the silence by saying,
"I think we should take a day off school today!"
I nodded in agreement.
Let's have some fun!
