I sighed at the sight Hope, and rushed toward her slumped figure.

She was clutching a sharp blade of glass in one hand.

She was either unconscious or sleeping.

I really hoped it was the latter.

I wasn't sure what to do, so I just did what my gut was telling me to do.

I lifted her up, and started walking toward my place.

Hana and Rebecca trailed behind me without another word exchanged.

After fifteen long minutes of walking, we were there.

Rebecca and Hana stared up I'm shock at my massive house, but U didn't have the time to dwell upon that.

I had to get my mother.

She was a doctor, you see.

And today was her day off.

I tried to open the front door with my key, but my hands were shaking too hard.

After about a minute of fumbling, Hana stepped forward and turned the lock for me.

I smiled at her thankfully, but then rushed into my house.

"Muuuuuumm!" I called up the stairs.

I laid Hope on the couch.

She came rushing down with a questioning look on her face.

I gestured to Hope in the couch.

Her eyes widened, and she went back upstairs to get her medical kit.

I bit my lip and stared at Hope anxiously while I waited for my mum to come back.

After about thirty seconds, she did.

She ushered everyone out of the way and examined Hope.

She checked her pulse and did some other doctory stuff, before standing up again.

"Well, it seems your friend has been going through some emotional turmoil. She has many self-inflicted wounds up both arms and a severe cut to the head. Do you know of any circumstance she is going through which may cause this?"

I nodded slowly, but then added.

"I'd rather not tell you all. Its personal to Hope."

My mum nodded, and carried on speaking.

"Physically, she will be fine in a week, in time for all her wounds to heal. Emotionally, I'm not so sure. Its completely up to her."

I dug my teeth harder into my lip so that I felt the metallic taste of blood in my mouth.

I nodded nevertheless, and thanked my mum.

She turned to leave.

After she had left, Hana and Rebecca turned to face me.

Hana spoke up first,

"Uhm... Would you mind if we, um, possibly maybe crashed here for the night? You know, just so we can keep an eye on Hope." I smiled at them and nodded.

"I can show you to the guest room if you like?" The smiled gratefully and nodded.

So I did.

On the way, I asked them a question.

"Do you have any spare clothes with you?" Rebecca shook her head.

"I can pop back and get some clothes for both of us and tell Jenny where we are?" I smiled.

"Great." So I left Hana in the guest room, and Rebecca to sort the arrangements out.

I went back down to see Hope.

She was still sleeping, so I tried to be as quiet as possible.

I kneeled down by the couch she was on and watched her sleep.

Her beautiful blonde hair was spread out in a fan above her head, and her pale eyelids were closed over her beautiful green eyes.

Her lashes were long and graceful, and her lips were a pale pink.

I took in her every feature, and sighed at the beauty of her face.

She didn't see herself that way.

It broke my heart to think that.

She had been told she was ugly, and useless, and broken too many times that she had started to believe it herself.

But I intended to change that belief.
