Two days had passed since the incident at school and Jiyoo was just about to leave the hospital. She'd been kept for observation since the doctor wanted to make sure that the cut healed properly, which it was. The girl would've had a mental breakdown otherwise. Speaking of which, Zelo had apparently cried a lot, at least that's what Ahri told her when the two visited Jiyoo at the hospital. Even Tao came to visit for a short while. In fact, the only one who hadn't was Daehyun. Not that she expected the said boy to. Plus, that damn picture came to mind every time she thought about the blonde freak. Every single minute alone had she spent thinking about the possibility of it being Daehyun on the photo. It seemed to unrealistic.
But what if it was true?
It was possible, and that even though she doubted it. Even so, it didn't explain why he was acting so weird towards her. Those incoherent sentences that somewhat freaked Jiyoo out. Then there were those times when he, totally out of nowhere, appeared. It was almost as if Daehyun already knew. If, then why hadn't he said anything?Maybe she was just thinking too much. The baby on the photo could be a total stranger and not the Daehyun she knew of. It wasn't like the blonde freak had patent on the name.
The doctor had just finished going through some last minute information when Zelo and Ahri entered the room. "Unnie, unnie, guess what?" the kid was jumping around, obviously rather excited about something. "What?" her gaze flickered over to Zelo but he only shrugged his shoulders. "The king of blonde hair is waiting outside." Jiyoo didn't know why she felt so surprised to hear that. Unsure of how to answer the girl simply nodded. "Unnie, his hair is really blonde." Ahri continued to bounce around, and it resulted in that Jiyoo glared over at the younger boy, "did you feed her sugar?" Zelo gulped whilst nervously letting his gaze wander.
"You did, didn't you?" argh, it was going to be a pain in the ass to deal with Ahri if she'd eaten a huge amount of sugar. "Hadn't I strictly told you to not feed her stuff like that?" the girl was just about to slide out of bed when remembering that the only clothing she had on was the hospital cloth. "Ahri take that fool and get him to buy something to eat." the first thing Jiyoo needed was some real food. Not the kind of shit they served at the hospital. "Oppa, more candy." no, not more candy, food. The both of them had probably gotten enough sugar to last for a week, and she gave the boy a meaning glance, "food and noting else." Zelo smiled, "got it." the blonde boy and Ahri left once the conversation ended and it left Jiyoo some time to get dressed.
The girl groaned when seeing the clothes she'd asked Ahri to bring. The young kid had gotten the order to pick out an outfit for her. Mainly because she didn't want Zelo to snoop around. But also because Jiyoo weren't too certain about which clothes she'd stuffed down in the bags the previous week.
Though, much to her dismay had Ahri decided to go with a dress, something that came as a mere shock. It wasn't exactly everyday she wore a dress. Only on special occasions. Well, she couldn't do anything about it now. Jiyoo could always change when they got back to Zelo's apartment. Speaking of which, the girl had to do something about that. They'd spent nearly a week at that place and it made her feel bad. In some way or another would Jiyoo need to find another place to stay at.
Daehyun was immensely taken aback when he watched the red-haired girl step out from the room. It'd been such a long time since he last saw Jiyoo wearing a dress that his eyes were wide open. He'd wondered several times why she didn't wear such clothing more often. The whole admiring part was cut short when Jiyoo spotted him and it was with hasty steps that she headed up to the said boy. "You -." she stopped when remembering that the picture was still, hopefully, laying in the pocket of her blazer. The girl had stuffed her bloody high school uniform down in the plastic bag that Ahri had brought.
It was with mixed feelings that Daehyun parted his lips and spoke, "what?" he could see by the look in her eyes that there was something. Whatever it was the girl kept quiet about it, "nothing." both of the wounds were itching and Jiyoo couldn't restrain herself, she needed to scratch them, and that despite that the doctor had told her not to. "You shouldn't do that." Daehyun remarked whilst grabbing her hand. It was rather unnecessary to re-open the healing cuts.
Jiyoo glared at the blonde freak as she pulled her hand back, he had no right to tell her what to do. "I still don't understand why you came here." it wasn't like the two of them had any relation to one another. They might've kissed but that meant nothing. Daehyun frowned upon hearing her statement, the boy couldn't just blurt out that he'd been worried.
"Yah, don't think that there's anything going on between the two of us. The kiss just happened." the girl's pulse had skyrocketed and she felt slightly flustered after have said that. Daehyun knew, he hadn't expected anything else. Nothing good would happen if they were to be together. The fact that Jiyoo had acknowledged such a thing made it easier on him. He wouldn't need to, possibly, explain why a relationship wouldn't work.
Daehyun watched, with an uneasy feeling, how the girl turned on her heel and headed down the hallway. The truth needed to be exposed. It was getting harder and harder to let it remain hidden, especially since things were starting to move. His father would give him daily updates about what was going on, and he'd heard about the middle school student that'd been killed by the Seoul gang. The location of the body was still not known, something that caused uncertainty to what'd really happened.
The girl found Zelo and her younger sister at a table, eating whatever deliciousness they'd bought. "How nice of you to wait." Jiyoo spoke in a sarcastic tone whilst placing herself down next to Ahri. "Unnie, where is the king?" the girl shrugged her shoulders, she was not the slightest interested in Daehyun and what he was up to. Instead did Jiyoo pick up the chopsticks that were lying on the table, forgotten. "Unnie how can you just leave him." the kid sulked and was just about to go look for the said boy when he appeared. "I'm leaving." Daehyun gave his dongsaeng a knowing glance, one that Zelo understood immediately. His hyung wanted him to take care of Jiyoo and Ahri and not let them get into more trouble.
"No, don't leave." Ahri extended her hand and grabbed the older boy's wrist. She was not going to let him leave. "I need to take care of something." kid's weren't really his strongest point as he was slightly awkward around them. Daehyun was simply too serious. "Ahri let go." Jiyoo had to be wary when it came to the blonde freak. It was obvious that he knew something, and it was an ordeal that both irritated and scared her.
Though, the picture was the first step to finding out the secret and Jiyoo was going to find out exactly what was going on.
