Jiyoo was replaying the kiss inside her head. Never could she have guessed that he had such feelings for her. Though, the question was; did she like Tao?It wasn't like Jiyoo knew that much about him. In fact, she barely knew anything at all. That he had some sort of connection to Kris was something the girl had come to understand.
It confused her actually, how someone like Tao could know Kris. The two of them were so different to one another. The latter seemed to have no respect for anything or anyone. Tao however had cared for her, and that even though they barely knew each other. Plus,Zelo had to acknowledge the fact that there couldn't be anything between them. He was simply too young for her.
The sound of the front door brought Jiyoo out of her thoughts. Her father's voice boomed throughout the hall, he was asking whether Ahri and she was home, which they were. "Where are the maids?" the girl rolled her eyes upon hearing Jinkyung's question. "I let them take the week off." instantly did Jiyoo feel the wrath of the older woman, "are you stupid, how could you do that when knowing that we were coming home?Call them back." such a fucking nuisance, why was it that the hag couldn't do anything herself?
Pushing herself up from the couch she strode out into the hallway. Her father looked utterly tired when he looked up and stared at her, "what have you done?" Jiyoo's hand, on instinct, reached up to shield the visible scar on her cheek. The one at her neck couldn't be seen due to the shirt she was wearing. "Someone at school d -." she was abruptly cut short as Jinkyung snapped, "she's probably joined a gang or something." impossible, she would never join a gang.
"Take my bags to the bedroom and where is Ahri?I hope you took good care of her." Jiyoo ignored the older woman and instead vanished off towards the kitchen. "You ungrateful kid, we put a roof over your head and all we get back is that damn attitude of yours." she'd probably made the wrong decision to move back home again. Jiyoo would never be able to survive with that old hag and her constant nagging.
"It's my dad's money that puts a roof over my head, not yours." that was bound to irritate the woman, especially since Jiyoo was right. Jinkyung had never done anything to bring home money, she'd never had a job. Not during the time she'd been married to her father at least. "Jiyoo, don't be disrespectful." a sigh rolled off her lips, why couldn't her father ever side with her?
"Is it true, that you joined a gang?" the girl spun around and came face to face with the older man. Irritation and anger boiled within her as she met gaze with him, "no, why would I even do that?" did he really think that low of her, "it wouldn't exactly surprise me if that Yongguk forced you into it." the bottle of water she was holding onto found itself being slammed against the counter. Yongguk would never do such a thing, he wouldn't force her into anything.
The older male wasn't even taken aback by the outburst from his oldest daughter, "then how did you sustain such a scar, I don't believe that anyone in school would do it." wow, how nice of him to not believe in her own daughter. On the contrary could she sort of understand him, she'd lied to him so many times before that he, probably, no longer believed anything that came out her mouth. Well, she wasn't exactly telling the truth no either, the scar on the girl's cheek had Kris created. Not someone at school. However, the old man would definitely lose all trust in Jiyoo if she explained that a gangster had given her the scar and not a student.
"Then don't. You've never trusted anything I've said before so why would it be any different now." the girl snarled as she threw the water bottle in the sink. The sound that emitted caused Jinkyung to react, "what is going on?" Jiyoo was just about to retreat to her bedroom when she remember the burglary, "right, someone broke into the house a few weeks ago. Nothing was taken but your office is a huge mess." the man reacted in an instant, his eyes widened as he stared at his daughter, "why didn't you tell me that earlier?" her father darted off towards the said room, and that all the whilst Jiyoo explained that he never answered his phone.
A slap to her face, that's what greeted her once she'd headed up the stairs. "How could you let Ahri be alone while you were out?" another slap connected with her cheek and she flinched when the pain rushed through her.
"How could you even leave her in the first place?" Jiyoo was fuming, no one left their child like the two adults had done, especially not to someone who was just a mere teenager. "Don't talk back to me, be happy that I haven't thrown you out yet." why did always have to be like this, they were always fighting with one another. Well, it wasn't too hard to understand why. Jinkyung was the reason to why her mother committed suicide.
Brushing past the woman she went to grab her phone and iPod, and that before she stalked out of the house. Jiyoo was so frustrated that she kicked down a pot, the colorful flowers that'd been placed in it went flying over the lawn. The girl had come to hate her life. No one cared for Jiyoo anymore, she'd been neglected for so many years by her father and the teachers at school. It wasn't an ordeal which she could get used to. The only reason to why she'd even managed to survive for so long was because of Yongguk, but he was gone now, too. Jiyoo had no one now, something that was painful to think about.
The apartment building which Zelo was living in came into view as she walked down the street. But the high rise construction wasn't the destination. In fact, Jiyoo didn't have one. Where the girl would end up could time only tell. The only thing she hoped for was that Kris and Yixing wouldn't interrupt. Jiyoo could honestly not comprehend why those two found it so incredibly funny to bother her. She'd done nothing to them and yet they wouldn't leave her alone.
It was possible that Tao had the answers to some of her questions. But Jiyoo had already tried once and that time it was a total failure. The boy hadn't answered anything. He'd only told her to stay away from Kris, which wasn't that easy. One could easily take him as a stalker by the way he suddenly showed up. It didn't seem to matter where she went.
The girl jumped, startled, when her cell phone rang. "What is it now?" she was not in the mood to speak with her father, "did you take anything from my office?" Jiyoo had to lie, she couldn't tell him that she'd stolen several pictures and documents. The girl knew how furious he would get if he were to know. "No, why?" there was slight hesitation in the man's voice when he spoke again, "are you sure?" the fact that he had to ask another time just showed how little faith he had in Jiyoo. "I didn't." she doubted that the few things she'd taken were of any value, not to him. Well, the girl couldn't be entirely sure as she hadn't looked at the documents yet. "Okay." the line died after that word.
Maybe something important had been stolen after all.
Shrugging her shoulders Jiyoo let the phone slide back down in the pocket of her jacket. Whilst doing so did her fingers connect with something lying there, and out of pure curiousity did she pull the paper like thing to meet her gaze. The girl felt her heart palpitate upon the picture with Daehyun as a baby.
She must've, somehow, forgotten to take it out from there. "and you, I know you're hiding something." Jiyoo was talking to the piece of paper, almost as if she was speaking directly to the blonde boy. The girl wasn't stupid, she'd taken notice of the way he was behaving. Nothing could be so terrible that he wouldn't even tell her. Maybe it was just something he was ashamed of, something he'd done when they were younger. Whatever it was it couldn't be so horrible.
