Two days had passed and Daehyun were yet to wake up. The doctor said that he was still in coma and that they weren't sure when he would wake up. That's if he woke up again. She had, during the two days, barely left his side. The only time she'd done so was when she left to change clothes at home, something the girl did when knowing that her father weren't there. Jiyoo knew that it wouldn't end good if they were to meet each other. Not at that point at least. School was of course important, but Daehyun was even more so.
Zelo had already left for the day when a middle aged man entered the room. He seemed surprised when he took notice of her. "Oh, I didn't think anyone would be here." she straightened up and gave the man a slight bow, "he didn't have any numbers saved in his phone so I decided to stay." she warily glanced up on the unknown man. He looked somewhat familiar but the girl couldn't remember where she'd seen him. "I guess you must be Jiyoo." the girl blinked, she wondered how he could know her name. It couldn't be that Kris had sent someone, right?
Taking a step back she let her hand slid down into the pocket of her jeans, and that before she circled her fingers around the cell phone laying there. "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." the man had taken a great risk showing up there. On the contrary did none of that matter as his son was in the hospital. Zelo had actually been the one to call the older male. He'd thoroughly explained the situation and that Daehyun had received so many punches and blows that he had fallen into a state of coma.
"Did Kris send you?If, then get out. I'm not going to let you hurt him even more." not knowing who the man was she stepped up and placed herself between the bed and the man. Jiyoo, despite knowing that she wouldn't stand a chance against the older male if he attacked, felt no fear. Daehyun was not going to die because of her. That was final.
"I'm not going to hurt my own son so you don't need to worry about that." instinctively did her gaze fall upon Daehyun, and that before it wandered back to the older man. Somewhere it clicked and Jiyoo's lips parted to let out a gasp, "I'm sorry, I didn't want to be rude but there's a lot of things that have happened lately." just the thought of all the incidents made her shiver in distaste. "So I heard. Daehyun has been keeping me updated." it was becoming more and more obvious that there was something no one was telling her.
"I'm guessing that he hasn't told you anything yet?" Jiyoo was unsure of how to answer, she wasn't certain to what he was referring to. "I don't really see where you're going with this conversation. No one has told me anything." that was not completely true. Zelo had said some things two days ago, but that'd been so ridiculous that she couldn't believe it. "I don't expect of you to understand but it's nonetheless important that you listen." immediately did she feel uneasy. The way he'd voiced out the sentence made her slightly frightened of what was to come.
"Your father has been involving himself in some risky business, something that's about to turn rather dirty." Zelo and Daehyun's dad had said about the same thing, only with different words. But Jiyoo was tired of it, she knew that her father weren't that greedy. He had his own company and earned his money from there. He didn't need to indulge himself in illegal stuff to go around.
"That's a lie. My father would never do something like that." her voice had taken a new tone and she starting to get frustrated. No one had the right to insult her dad like that. "I don't know what kind of relation you have to my father, but I, if anyone, know that he would never involve himself with anything illegal." just like Zelo had the man expected the fact that she wouldn't understand. It was simply too much to take in an once, especially when it regarded such a matter as this.
Not wanting to spark a fight the older male let it be. It was for the best to just let it sink in and take some time instead of forcing it down her throat. Not only would she freak but the girl would probably pull away and thus also make it even worse. Therefore did he don't make a fuss when she escaped and headed out the door. Jiyoo was cussing as she walked down the corridor towards the entrance of the building. That old man was wrong and so was Zelo. Her father would never be that stupid.
