She barely managed to enter the schoolyard before hateful words and sentences were thrown at her. All of them contained either the word slut or bitch. The students would probably never forget about Dongyeol being expelled. Everyone continued to believe that it was all her fault. The fact that he'd threatened the girl with a knife hadn't seemed to bother anyone. Maybe they thought she deserved it after having punched and tackled Eun Ae to the ground. It irritated Jiyoo, that everyone sided with the other girl, and that despite being a total bully.
Tao was rushing towards the school, he'd overslept and was now late. In a few minutes would the gates close and the boy knew that he had to hurry. The sight that met him when getting to the entrance of the schoolyard surprised and angered him. Kris was not supposed to be there. He didn't want to see the older boy anymore.
His former friend belonged in the past. Tao tried to look oblivious over the fact that the other boy stood there, waiting. Unfortunately did Kris step aside, and he placed himself in the way, "don't you want to see your best friend?" to ignore the boy was impossible and Tao found himself glare at his former best friend, "I'm not your friend anymore so get lost." they could never be friends again, what Kris had done could never be forgiven.
"Ouch, after all I've done for you." Tao's fists clenched together and he forgot all about school. Done and done, they might've shared some fun times, but killing Yi was unforgivable. "You killed Yi." yeah, yeah, Kris had heard that before. "I thought you'd gotten over that by now. She was nothing more than a fucking blabbermouth." the sentence was all that was needed for Tao to snap, and his fist connected with the older boy's face.
"Shut the fuck up." he knew better than to believe Kris, he'd been lying all along. Yi hadn't done anything to deserve her fate. Tao knew that she wouldn't tell on him. The older of the two cracked a smile as he wiped away the blood from his lower lip, "did you never wonder how the police found out about our hideout or why all of the missions we got were failures?" Kris knew the truth that his friend didn't want to acknowledge. He'd been so blinded by the love for Yi that he didn't want to see the real truth. Anger flared within Tao and he sent another punch against the other boy. It was a blow that cracked Kris bottom lip.
Though, the said boy ignored the searing pain, "Yi told the police, she was a damn tattletale." never, he would never believe such a foolish lie. The girl wouldn't do such a thing towards him. "I don't believe you. Yi would never do that." he trusted the younger girl and she had promised to keep his secret to herself. "I fucking overheard her talking on the phone, she was telling someone about what we were up to. So don't think that she was all that innocent." Kris tried to remain calm as he revealed the real Yi, a person who backstabbed her own boyfriend.
The incidents back in China came to mind and Tao's thoughts and beliefs about Yi began to falter. He'd never thought about it before, how the police could find out and why their missions failed. Had Yi really been the one that exposed him? It seemed unreal that she would do such a thing. But it wasn't exactly impossible.
Kris saw the devastation written all over the younger boy's face. It looked like it'd dawned, the truth.
However, Tao's next action caught him by surprise, "don't touch Jiyoo, just leave her alone." hm, could it be that he had feelings for the girl?Kris couldn't help himself and a smile spread on his lips, and that despite that his lower lip was hurting. "Sorry, can't do that. I find her too interesting." Jiyoo truly kept him entertained, that was one thing for sure. On the contrary was Tao not pleased by the answer, there was no way in hell that he would let Kris steal the girl away from him. "Leave her alone." with that stated did he give the older boy a death glare. "We'll see about that." Kris shouted as he watched Tao jump over the school gates.
Tao was deep in thought as he headed for his homeroom. He didn't like the conversation he'd had with Kris, moreover, he despised the fact that Yi maybe hadn't been that trustable. The boy had to tell himself that those incidents belonged in the past. He'd left his previous life the same moment he stepped on the place to South Korea.
Unfortunately did it seem like Kris hadn't done the same. The older boy acted just as he used to when they were living in China, and Tao knew one thing; Kris wouldn't let Jiyoo go that easy. It was an ordeal that both worried and angered him, especially since Kris was known as a womanizer. Something that he himself wasn't. Tao was still surprised over the fact that Yi had chosen him over the older boy. To fight for a girl was a situation he'd never experienced before as Yi had actually been the one that'd approached him and not the way around.
"Tao, you'll get detention after school for arriving late." he acknowledged his teacher's words with a slight nod, and that whilst he walked over to his desk. He wondered, as he placed himself down, whether Jiyoo was in school or not. Maybe she, too, would be at the detention. He hoped so as it would give him another chance to talk to the girl. Just the thought of seeing her caused Tao to smile.
In another part of the school was Jiyoo asleep. She couldn't help it, the subject the teacher was talking about was a true sleeping pill. However, the said teacher wasn't going to let his students get away with just anything. The old male slammed the book down, the sound emitting from the action startled Jiyoo so much that she nearly fell from her chair. Adrenaline pumped out in her veins and she stared at the teacher in front, "Detention after school." the girl didn't even give a damn anymore. Detention was a place she spent quite the amount of time nowadays. Definitely more after that Daehyun, Zelo and Tao had entered her life.
Lunchtime arrived and Jiyoo, along with Daehyun and Tao headed for the cafeteria and food. The latter could literally feel his heart palpitate when the girl stepped inside the crowded area. The scar on her cheek stood out against the pale skin and it made him uneasy. But to ask the girl about who'd done it was out of question. On the contrary was Tao relieved that the other boy got expelled. He wondered how someone could be so stupid and bring a knife to school. It was almost as if he prepared himself just in case he got into a fight. At that moment did he remember how he, too, used to carry a knife. Though, that was when he lived in China and was a part of Kris gang.
Gang, could it be that the Dongyeol person was apart of a gang?
Jiyoo spotted the Chinese boy sitting all alone at a table. It didn't take her many seconds to decide that she was going to question him about Kris. Therefore was it with hasty steps that the girl walked up to him, Jiyoo got slightly confused though, when he continued to stare into space. The impression she got was that he were deep in thought. "Yah, are you there?" she flicked her index finger against the boy's forehead and Tao flinched, taken aback by the sudden contact.
The beats of his heart exhilarated when he turned to look at the person. Jiyoo caught his gaze and they started at each other, "we talk." the words were simple, yet, it seemed like the boy had no idea of what she said, "do you understand what I'm saying?" Tao saw the frustration and couldn't help but to let a smile grace his lips. It was flabbergasting how easily the girl got irritated. Jiyoo blinked, taken aback and stunned by the the fact that the Chinese boy was smiling. "I understand." a faint blush became evident on her cheeks when hearing the flawless pronunciation of the sentence.
Without a care in the world did the said girl place herself down at the table. Tao wondered what was so important that she decided to bring it up there and then. However, his heart stopped and his blood froze upon hearing Kris name slip from Jiyoo's lips. "Stay away from him." Tao knew what the older boy was capable of doing and for Jiyoo to mingle with him was dangerous. "Why, because he's in a gang?" even though he tried to play it cool he couldn't. How could she even know about that?
Tao remained silent, he was unsure of how to answer her question. Though, if the girl knew then why hadn't she called the police already?Wasn't that the most logical thing to do. "I'm talking to you." Jiyoo didn't appreciate that the he ignored her. The question couldn't be that hard to answer, it was a simple yes or no. Daehyun was, whilst Jiyoo tried to get the Chinese boy to speak, staring at the two from his place a few tables away. He was bothered by the sight of those two together, and that even though the new student had helped Jiyoo. Still, it took a bit more than that to gain Daehyun's trust.
Back at the other table was Jiyoo getting really frustrated. So frustrated that she stared at the boy whilst speaking up, "I'm not going to stop just because you tell me so. You know what, I'm going to find everything out." Tao didn't like the sound of that, he knew the gang rules and guessed that the ones here was similar to the ones in China. Jiyoo would literally risk her life if she continued to snoop around in Kris business.
