The school day was over and Jiyoo was going to make her move. The photo was safely tucked away inside the pocket of her blazer. The girl had, the day before, bought a new uniform as the previous one was a bloody mess. She'd, somehow, managed to get in contact with her father. He had finally decided to have his phone on, which was rare.
The older man hadn't eve tried to start an argument when Jiyoo told him that Ahri and she was in need of money. Instead had he simply agreed and said that he would send some money to her bank account. Though, he hadn't answered when the question about when they were coming home was brought up. It was an ordeal that were starting to bother Jiyoo, especially since several weeks had passed by since they left.
Sliding the homeroom door open she stepped inside. The girl didn't care the slightest whether the teacher hadn't finished it up completely. "Moon Jiyoo, you can't just wander inhere like that." ignoring the sentence she let her gaze wander in-between the students. Some of them made a few insulting remarks, such as slut and bitch. Jiyoo's popularity hadn't exactly skyrocketed when it was announced that Dongyeol was expelled due to the incident in the hallway. Everyone saw it as she was at fault, and that despite the fact that she was the one that'd ended up in the hospital.
"Jiyoo, you'll have to wait outside." the teacher added on but her attention was directed to Daehyun only. The boy had his eyes set on Jiyoo as she made her way over. His pulse increased with every step she took. It was rather obvious that she had something on her mind. "Are you not going to leave?" a girl stood up and placed herself in the way. Heaving a deep sigh Jiyoo gave the other girl an arrogant stare, "I'm not in the mood, so move." unfortunately did the girl not move and that gave her no other option but to use force.
A tiny smile spread on the blonde boy's lips when he watched Jiyoo shove his classmate aside. Maybe it could teach the rest of the students to not mess around with her. He'd seen how Jiyoo could act when she was really pissed off. It was just pure luck that none of the other students had gotten to know about the girl's wrath. Daehyun let his eyes linger on her as she headed up to his bench. "You. Talk. Now." Jiyoo wasn't going to leave the room alone, the blonde freak was going to follow with her out. They needed to talk, desperately.
"Couldn't you wait?" to spark irritation wasn't his goal, but she had to understand that school was important for him. He wanted to attend university and not end up like his father. Daehyun was used to the whole ordeal about living in fear. Still, he would never be able to do all the stuff his father had and are doing. But Daehyun was, despite of all the things the older man had done, not ashamed of his father. Though, the blonde boy was not proud either. How could one be when knowing that the person in question had killed people.
"No, I don't have time to wait." Jiyoo was probably the most impatient person he knew. Well, Zelo wasn't exactly known for his patience either. "Start moving, I don't have all day." the girl had begun to get quite hostile towards the blonde freak, but she had a reason for that; the picture. Ever since the appearance of the photo had Jiyoo questioned the boy's motives.
Daehyun rolled his eyes, he wasn't interested if it had anything to do with the kiss they shared. It was an incident he'd already forgotten about. His predictions though, were shattered when Jiyoo slammed a photo representing himself, his family and hers down on the bench. Without a second thought did he grab his stuff, and that whilst ignoring the teacher telling him to return to his seat. The boy was deep in thought when following after Jiyoo, he was curious to where she'd found the picture and how long the girl had known about it.
They barely managed to reached the hallway before she began her interrogation, "it's you on the picture, right?" Daehyun let his gaze roam around the corridor, it wouldn't be any good if anyone overheard their conversation. Extending his hand he grabbed her wrist, an action that shocked Jiyoo. Skinship was something he wasn't too fond of. "We can't talk here." he couldn't just start explaining all the things that were going on in the shadows.
Daehyun had to be methodical. "Why not?" he was actually starting to scare her. It was unusual for him to act like that. "Wrong people might hear." the Chinese boy was still not someone that Daehyun trusted, especially not since he'd gotten to know that Tao, once, was apart of a gang in China. The girl regretted the decision of bringing the photo up when the blonde freak, oh so nicely, shoved her inside a vacant room.
"You can't do this." she could feel the beats of her heart slowly increasing as Daehyun shut the door close. "Want the truth or not?" why was it that she changed her attitude so quick? It was with slight hesitation that Jiyoo nodded, she wanted the truth, and that even though she feared it. "The picture, it's me." it didn't come as a surprise, she'd already, sort of, understood that it was him.
On the contrary did it also spark a lot of other questions.
"I don't understand anything right now. What kind of relation do we have to one another, are we cousins?Or -." she didn't even want to think about the possibilities of them being siblings. They didn't even look alike. Oh god, what if she'd kissed her own brother. All of a sudden did the girl feel disgusted with herself. Daehyun could tell by the expression on her face that she was having a mental battle. "We're not blood related" the two of them had no blood relation. Despite the relief was she still confused about what was going on, "then -?" unsure of how the end the sentence she simply stopped. "Your family used to live in Busan when you were younger, that's why." she had vague memories of her mother's stories about when they lived in Busan.
"You're saying that our families knew each other." it wouldn't be impossible. Though, Jiyoo was baffled over the fact that they'd met again, after so many years. "How come you're attending Jawoon then?" there it became harder. To tell her that she was the reason would probably freak Jiyoo out. The girl, however, was fast to change the question, "did you move to Seoul just because of this school?" leaning against the wall she glanced at him. The unsettling feeling was still there, lingering in the air. Something was still bothering her.
Daehyun was now the one having a mental battle with himself. The boy wondered how much he could tell Jiyoo, and that without causing damage. It was rather obvious that it was going to be hard for her to take in and process everything. "Yes." he'd moved from Busan to Seoul because of Jiyoo. The fact that he could attend a really good high school was just a bonus.
"How could you even want to attend this school, it's fucking horrible." the school board did nothing about the on-going bullying, and they were easy to bribe. The whole prestigious school thingy wasn't really true. More like, crap school. "Says the one that are attending the school." Jiyoo's heart literally stopped when she saw the blonde boy smile. Never before had she seen Daehyun do that. It flabbergasted her, especially since he had such a beautiful smile. A shiver of unknown feelings ran down her spine when their eyes found each other. She hadn't really taken notice of his appearance before, not in that way at least. Daehyun was shorter than Zelo, though, the latter one was more cute than handsome.
She shook her head, the images cleared and Jiyoo focused on why she was even there in the first place. "Anyhow, that's all I wanted to know." the girl had to get away from there before she did something stupid. Plus, now, the girl wouldn't have to dwell about whether it was truly Daehyun in the picture or not. It'd been confirmed and she could move on. Their parents had been friends and that was all. The fact that they were attending the same high school was a pure coincidence.
Daehyun knew better though, but decided that it was better to take it step by step and reveal the truth little by little.
