Kaleigh looked up at the sky as it was getting darker. Rain could be seen miles away. "Hey uh, I'm not sure if the rain is coming our way but we better find shelter before it does." "Well you have my fucking jacket don't you? You won't get as wet as the rest of us." Nate chuckled because he's dirty minded while Kaleigh scoffed at Liam. Derek said, "We would have been able to stay in that kitchen for the night if that Smoker hadn't of followed us here. It probably smelled Liam's stench." Liam gave Derek a "would-you-just-stop-it-already" look and Derek understood. "I took plenty of showers back in Blackwell, don't worry." Liam stated. "And none of them worked apparently," Nate mumbled. "What was that?" "Nothing." "Nothing? Were you looking in your pants again?" "You want to fucking start mate?" Nate shouted. Derek got in between Nate and Liam and Kaleigh had to pull him away again. Liam and Nate shunned each other before starting to argue again during the trip through the Dark Zone.
"Well if you had a crafting bag and a jacket, and you lost both, how mad would you be? "I'm not sure, I'm not you, I don't need anger management." "I DON'T NEED ANGER MANAGEMENT." Derek and Kaleigh tried to cancel out the background noise of the two morons arguing, walking hand in hand through the debris of the corruption. Liam pretended to stab a Smoker with his spear to try and scare Nate, while Nate pretended to smash a Smoker in the head with his new metal club. Both of them were having what seemed to be a show-off competition. If they were in public they would be making a huge scene. Derek was starting to get frustrated with Nate and Liam, so he slid his knife from his pocket and did the nickel-flipping trick again, aiming the knife towards the two while his other hand was still in Kaleigh's, which quickly shut the two up. They stared at each other, then the ground, then each other, unsure of what to say because it would most likely end up in another stupid argument. The four (five counting Jaime) stumbled upon another wall in the path with wooden planks nailed to it, and they were about to climb it again until Nate said, "Wait, how do we get Jaime up there?" "And why do we want him up there?" Liam asked. Everyone gave Liam confused looks and he shook his head. "This is just like when I was holding Kaleigh.." Derek mumbled. "Holding Kaleigh?" Kaleigh said. "Like a black widdle baby." Liam commented. Kaleigh rolled her eyes. "Well, I traversed the ledge and slid to the stairs, but I was going down.. not up." Everyone looked down and pondered, Nate and Derek stroked their chin, Liam put his hands on his hips and Kaleigh enjoyed Liam's jacket. "I got it," Nate said. "All we have to do is get these wooden planks off of their nails, and make a ramp that leads on to the top ledge of this wall." "And how in the bloody hell are we going to accomplish a task like that?" Liam said, unleashing his full Australian. Everyone looked at Liam's spear, as it could be a base for the ramp to stand on. Liam looked at everyone confused but then realized. "Aw come on. You've got to be fucking kidding me, I barely got to use it." "You got to stab a Smoker with it, isn't that enough?" Liam groaned and was about to put his foot down and stand up for himself, but he gave in because it was the only option they had. "Why can't we just use Nate's metal-" "Hey Liam what's that?" Nate quickly cut him off and pointed to the sky, gray nothingness, like the veins and eyes of a corrupted. While Liam was not looking, Kaleigh took his spear and handed it to Derek, who smiled as he took it. He used it to pry the nails off the wooden planks without damaging them, similar to using the ladder to smash open the lever on the door. He then put the spear tip on the wall and horizontally let it lay the other side on the ground. He then put the wooden planks on top of the spear and created a slanted bridge to walk on, making it easy to climb over the wall. Derek stood at the top of the wall with his arms spread wide open. "Ta dah." he said, Kaleigh watching the entire time, slightly impressed, while Nate was still distracting Liam.
