"On the contrary, no one here said that you are annoying Liam." Nate said, smirking a tiny bit. "Then why do you guys always make me seem like I'm stupid? Take my jacket, my spear, my crafting bag.." "We already did," Kaleigh whispered to Derek, as the couple giggled. Nate started looking around for items but stumbled upon something that belonged to Derek. Kaleigh's rear end. Derek was looking in Nate's direction and Nate quickly stopped spying. Derek raised a brow at Nate and put his arm around Kaleigh's waist, while Nate played it off like he was looking at his metal club. Liam said obnoxiously, "I'm cold." Kaleigh gave Liam a "don't-even-start" look and Liam gave her a "too-late" look. They both stared each other down into their souls until Derek, for the third time, stood in between them and Kaleigh pulled him away again, for the third time. Liam was confused as to why no one commented on that, but he ignored it. He felt like he needed to sharpen his spear but remembered he didn't have one anymore. He started to feel like the dumbest man alive because he could've took the spear after they went over the bridge. He facepalmed at the most random moment but no one questioned it, they only gave him more confused looks. Nate, being the gentleman that he apparently is, handed his metal club over to Liam because he was starting to unusually feel sorry for him. Liam gave Nate a "what-do-you-think-you're-doing" look and Nate simply nudged the metal club into his hand. Liam stared as Nate walked away and conveniently found another metal club, which was the entire reason why he gave that one away. Liam shook his head again in disbelief and pretended his new club was a spear, stabbing forwards at nothing. Derek was sliding his khakri knife in one hand and holding Kaleigh's hand in the other while Kaleigh was on the search for a sniper or rifle of some kind. The four suddenly stopped in their tracks. "Where's Jaime?" Everyone, even Liam, looked at Nate. Nate felt like that one kid in class that never got first in line. "I just had him, I laid him by the sandbags over there." He pointed, but there was not a body nor a Jaime. "What the.." Nate was shocked, and he scratched the back of his head. "How could you lose hi-" Liam began, but Derek quickly cut him off. "Enough you two! You argue over everything. Can't you just keep your insults to yourselves?" Liam looked up at the sky and questioned why he was still part of this group. Something caught Kaleigh's eye, inside one of the windows that was blocked by wooden planks. Being the badass that she apparently is, she punched a hole right through the wooden plank and climbed in. The noise echoed off the entire snowy road, and eagles screeched in panic. Derek's attention was caught by the sound of pounding wood, though Liam and Nate were of course, too busy arguing. They were pointing to their metal clubs, at each other, at the sky, at their shoes, who knows what the fuck they were talking about. "Hmm.." Derek said to himself, following after Kaleigh who was nowhere to be seen behind the window. He climbed in, and looked around. It was enormous, bookshelves covered every single wall. Kaleigh just found the Blackwell Library.
