Nate didn't expose himself to the others however. He kept quiet and remained silent as he listened to Derek's story from inside the truck. He carefully rolled down the window and listened without making noise. "So the big bad wolf is basically a therapist?" Liam asked. Derek narrowed his eyebrows but didn't look at Liam. "Umm, sure.. I guess you could say that." Derek continued with his story. "But anyways, the pigs stared at the big bad wolf and.." "Wait, how about we give the big bad wolf and the pigs a name?" Kaleigh asked. Derek was being figured out, but he responded quickly, "The pigs don't have names. But the big bald wolf is uh.. um.. Jerry." Kaleigh sighed, smiling, and gestured Derek to continue his story. "So, Jerry picked on the first pig and said, why did you start have feelings for the second pig? The first pig said, They're the best thing that ever happened to me. The wolf pondered, scratching his chin-" "Chin? Wolves don't have chins. They have muzzles," Liam interrupted Derek. Derek rolled his eyes and said, "Okay, muzzles." Liam chuckled and Derek continued. "Jerry asked the second pig why they started to have feelings for the third pig. They replied with the same answer. Until uhm, the wolf - I mean, Jerry, asked the third and final pig who they have feelings for. The pig shrugged. So Jerry asked, have you ever liked someone? The pig nodded, still not speaking. Jerry said, do you still like them? The pig looked up, thinking for a bit, and then nodded. The wolf chuckled, saying that he understood. So the wolf got comfy in his seat and uh, explained to what the pigs had to do. Well, I think you're all looking for something. Something.. but you have no clue what it is. But you know it's out there. And you think it's pigs, but it's probably not. That's why you feel for each other, to secure some.. something in yourself, that you're doubting, perhaps. You doubt your own future which is why.. you always find yourself in the hardest situations, with each other. And then you wonder why they don't ehh, return the same 'love' for you. Sometimes, they even leave you. But, it's not that they don't love you. Maybe it's that you all need to learn to love yourselves before others." Kaleigh was starstruck, just as was Liam. Nate was feeling anger boiling up inside of him but he didn't know how to express it, so he punched the chair and quickly tried to fall back asleep.
