A Snake lunged itself at Nate and dog piled him, too quick for any of the other three to stop it. It wrapped it's tongue around him and quickly started injecting venom into his veins, his eyes slowly turning green. Derek grunted and tried to pull the Snake off him, Liam pulling Derek, Kaleigh pulling Liam, a tug of war with the Snake and the CPG. The Snake eventually lost grip, but Nate was lying there, his eyes rolled back into his head, pale. Liam rushed over to him like a cheetah chasing a bull, immediately taking out his first aid kit while Derek started stabbing the Snake repeatedly in the head, until Kaleigh shot it twice in the neck and it stopped resisting. Derek and Kaleigh nodded to each other while Liam was tending to Nate, and they went over to him. Liam poured antidote into Nate's mouth and forced a couple painkillers in there too. Nate was twitching, which showed signs of life, a huge relief to the entire CPG, except not such much Derek, who, as sorry as he felt for him, still didn't appreciate his flirty attitude.
They quickly exited the prison, Liam holding Nate over his shoulder, his heart pounding fast, Derek following him and Kaleigh a little ahead, making sure the coast was clear. They got back to the firetruck and Liam shoved Nate in the passenger seat, who groaned as he was pushed. Derek didn't feel like driving anymore so Liam took his place again, Kaleigh sitting in the back with Derek. Derek slipped his hand into hers, and held it tightly, Kaleigh scooching to him closer and resting on his shoulder. Liam immediately put the truck in ignition and drove down the hill, taking a quick right into the forest. "It's getting late, and we really can't deal with this right now," Liam said, panting. The other two understood while Nate was already in a deep sleep, which he needed urgently. Liam turned off the lights of the truck, inside and out, and the group tried to fall asleep, even though after what just happened, they never wanted to wake up.
