They all turned and looked at it, confused as could be. The sound of an old man shouting "Free ice cream! Free ice cream!" came from the driver's window, but there was no one driving it, which confused the crew even more, slightly scaring Liam more than the rest, because he thought it sounded like a clown and he was terrified of clowns. Kaleigh locked her rifle's aim onto the truck and it slowly stopped, sitting there, as if it was asking for the four to come and get ice cream. "I'm going out there," Derek said in monotone. Everyone looked at him as if he was crazy, especially Kaleigh, and he looked back. "Are you crazy?" they all thought so, "you can't go out looking like that!" shouted Nate. Derek was not wearing a shirt, because it could get through the bandages on his shoulder, which were slightly turning red because of the amount of blood loss. "Gosh, you sound like my mother. And what if I don't? Then you guys will? You don't have an injured shoulder, you don't have just a knife, you don't HAVE to go out there and waste all the things you do have on this stupid truck. If I go out there, there's nothing to lose. I should go and I will. I don't care if you're going to let me, I only care if you're going to try and stop me," everyone knew Derek was serious when he said that, but before they could reply, he was out of the van and running up to the ice cream truck with his knife. He looked all around the truck, keeping his distance, until fear and shock overcame Liam's face as he saw something red, blinking on the back of the truck, with a timer that said, "0:14" and he knew exactly what that was. It was a bomb, a C4 to be exact. Liam quickly rolled down the window and shouted "BOMB!" but Derek could not hear him over the ice cream truck music. He shouted again, "DEREK! IT'S A TARP! There's a C4!" no one knew why he said tarp instead of trap, but neither did Liam. Kaleigh was on the verge of crying and she ran out the door and chased Derek. He was getting closer to the truck and it was now "0:05," which made Liam and Nate feel like they were going to have a heart attack. Suddenly Kaleigh grabbed Derek's arm and pulled him away just as he saw the bomb and they ran for their lives, as the truck exploded behind them. They both fell on the ground, arm in arm, Kaleigh crying as she thought Derek was gone, but Derek simply below her on the ground, shaking his head and coughing from the crash. Kaleigh rubbed her eyes and cried, but Derek took her hands and put them down, as she looked down at him, and suddenly her sadness became tears of joy. She kissed Derek all over and Derek gave her hickeys on her neck, and she smiled playfully as they rolled on top of each other down the hill of grass, forgetting about what just happened now that they had each other. Nate, was pissed. He shouted out the window, "Alright lovebirds, get back in the van!" Derek and Kaleigh pretended they didn't hear that as they kept kissing and looking at each other, Kaleigh putting her arms around Derek's neck, biting her lip, but they got up and walked to the van, holding hands. They got in the van, and Kaleigh took Derek's arm and hugged it tightly, resting her head on his shoulder while Derek rested his head on hers. They pretended to fall asleep to not have to explain what just happened on the grass, even though they really couldn't. Nate looked at Liam and gave him a "did-you-see-that-stupid-shit?" face and Liam replied with a nod. Nate slouched in his chair and Liam simply drived, not feeling any jealousy but remorse for Nate, as they kept traveling down the road, explosive ice cream truck bits flying in the air behind them. Everyone in the van was questioning something, Derek and Kaleigh questioning why they felt they way they did on the grass, Nate questioning why he feels so angry which was simply because of jealousy, and Liam questioning as to what made that ice cream truck come to them. That's what his mission was. He was going in the direction of where the truck came from, because honestly, he thought it was another rogue agent. Liam was also questioning something else, less important. Why didn't Derek ever ask how or where they got the van?
