Lyn made her way up the stairs of Alaric's apartment building, a small bag slung over her shoulder. When she got closer to the apartment door, she heard voices talking inside the loft. "Yeah, but doesn't Mikael have a weapon?" She heard her sister ask.
The name rang a bell somewhere far off in Lyn's mind, as if from a dream she barely remembered. She didn't think too hard about it, though she made a mental note to call Klaus. Whoever this Mikael guy was, she had a feeling it was part of the idiotic plan that her friends were no doubt concocting to kill Klaus.
She slipped the key that Ric had given her into the keyhole and turned it, unlocking the door just as Damon said, "Yes. Which probably means the wall will lead us to Mikael, who we've already found... and lost,"
Ric was still bent over the pictures and Damon and Elena were training, though it looked more like flirting to Lyn. She went in and Damon easily overpowered her. "Bang," He said. "You're dead,"
"And I'm gonna be sick," Lyn exclaimed, alerting them all to her presence. Ric grinned upon sight of her, Elena gave a small smile, and Damon barely contained a scowl. "Lyn, you made it," Ric said.
Lyn nodded and placed her bag down on the kitchen counter, "Yep!" said Lyn as she zipped open the duffel bag and sifted through the contents.
"Hold up!" Damon cut into their conversation with an angry voice. He just couldn't leave well enough alone, could he? "You invited her? She's—"
Whatever insult Damon was about to throw in her direction, one that would undoubtedly have something to do with the Mikaelsons, was cut off by a stake being lodged in his throat. "—a lot more experienced than her sister when it comes to taking down asshole vampires," Lyn told him with a look.
Damon pulled the stake from his throat and glared at Lyn, looking half in a mind to throw it back at her. Lyn didn't look away. She stared straight at him, daring him to do it. As she had expected, Damon just sneered and dropped the stake onto the floor.
"Lyn, what are you doing here?" Elena asked curiously. Lyn noted that there was a small hint of displeasure in her twin's voice.
"Ric invited me over to train," Lyn said with a shrug. She didn't know why it was such a big deal to them. Well, she did know, she just thought their reasoning was stupid.
She also thought the attempt at a subtle glance in Ric's direction was stupid of Elena. Just because she was small minded and refused to accept Lyn's choice in the company she kept didn't mean everyone else was.
Lyn shook the thought out of her head quickly, attempting not to let it fester. She didn't like the growing frustration she felt every time she thought of Elena and the way her own sister was disrespecting her. Lyn had always hated when she and Elena were fighting, but now it seemed like fighting would be better than the silent anger they were both failing to contain.
