Lyn sighed in pleasure as she felt Elijah's arms wrap around her and his lips press against her neck. Leaning into the touch, Lyn allowed herself to forget about the outside world and relish in this moment. "You look gorgeous, Emalyn," Elijah murmured and moved his hands down her figure.

Lyn gave a small giggle. "I'm wearing a baggy nightgown."

"Yes, you are," Elijah confirmed, making another small laugh leave Lyn. Joy filled Lyn's body as Elijah began placing small, gentle kisses against her neck. She leaned into them for a moment before turning to face him and looping her hands around his neck. He smiled gently at her, an expression which never failed to make her melt, and placed his hands around her waist. "I've booked our flight to Boston,"

Lyn smiled gratefully. After the debacle with Esther, Lyn had finally gathered the courage to tell Elijah about Harvard. He had been amazing about it, and instantly told her he'd begin searching for apartments for them near campus. It had surprised her a little, that he was willing to pack up and leave Mystic Falls to go with her but she loved that he did, nonetheless. "Thank you. When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow, at ten in the morning," He informed her.

"Well, I guess that means I have today to say my goodbyes," Lyn said. "Or, see you laters,"

"I, too, have to do the same with my siblings," Elijah told her.

"Well, I guess I'll see you tonight, then,"

"I look forward to it,"

Lyn laughed and pulled him by the hand until they both had to go.

The tea room was as lovely as it was every time that Lyn came. She smiled when the bell dinged and Natalie and Victor came in. They, too, smiled upon catching sight of their granddaughter.

Lyn stood when they reached the table she had saved for the three of them. She accepted the embrace that Victor gave her and allowed Natalie to give her arm a squeeze before they all sat back down.

"We've missed you, dear," Natalie told her. "But I'm glad you're feeling better,"

"Thank you." Lyn said sweetly. "I'm glad, too,"

The conversation flowed pretty nicely after that, like it usually did. "Did you try out the book I suggested?" Victor asked before taking a bite from his scone.

"Yes, I did." Lyn said with a laugh. "It was definitely entertaining,"

"You don't need to lie," Natalie said with a teasing look. "I've read that one before and I will never get those hours back,"

Lyn sighed in amusement and shook her head fondly.

"You must acquire a better taste in literature, my love," Victor told his wife.
