Naturally, if the family was to come together again, that required them to not be in boxes. Lyn had wanted to go with the others to wake up the rest of the Mikaelsons, but Elijah insisted that she stay behind. He said that they would undoubtedly be upset with Klaus and he had no intention of letting her get caught in that.
So, much to her displeasure, Lyn sat in one of the many sitting rooms in the mansion and started looking for apartments in Boston. Freshmen were technically required to live on campus at Harvard but Lyn decided to take advantage of the fact that her boyfriend had the ability to compel people.
She hadn't actually told Elijah her news yet, due to all the chaos that had just happened. There was also a part of her that was terrified of how he would react. His family was here and he would most definitely want to stay in Mystic Falls with them. Lyn had trust in their admittedly new relationship but still, long distance relationships were always difficult.
Before she could go too far down the rabbit hole, the front door opened and footsteps sounded against the floor. Lyn placed her laptop down on the side table and rose to meet the other members of the original family.
Lyn quickly made it to where the rest of the Mikaelsons were looking around the house in wonder. Her eyes met Elijah's first, naturally, and he gave her a comforting smile. "Lyn!" Rebekah said excitedly, rushing over to meet the doppelganger. The blonde instantly looked over at her brother and seemed to see the newfound joy on his face. "I take it you two have finally been reacquainted?"
"Yes, we have," Lyn confirmed with a smile. "I've missed you, though,"
"Well, of course you have. Your options for company in this town are dreadful without me."
Lyn laughed and hugged Rebekah before looking at the other siblings. There were only two others, both brunette and male. One of them had longer hair and was looking around but his jaw was set in anger, undoubtedly towards Klaus. Lyn also noted the way he was standing closest to Esther, almost in defense. The other one had shorter hair and bore a stronger resemblance to Elijah. Before she could get the run down on him, though, he felt her gaze and met her eyes with a devilish smirk.
"Hello, there." He said, walking closer to her. "You must be Lyn,"
"That'd be me," Lyn confirmed, scanning him up and down with her eyes.
He took her hand and brought it up to kiss it. "Kol Mikaelson, pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"Kol," Elijah said warningly, not pleased with the flirtatious manner he was displaying around Lyn.
"Relax, brother," Kol told him. "I'm just getting to know the newest member of our family."
"The pleasure is all mine," Lyn said with a small, teasing look. Kol grinned at her reaction and turned back to Elijah with a smirk. Before Elijah could say anything to his little brother, though, Lyn walked over to him and interlaced their hands.
