The pain had faded by the time Lyn returned to consciousness. She blinked her eyes open and saw the inside of a truck. She looked around, noting the steel walls and, more importantly, Stefan on the floor with a broken neck. That was enough to shock her back into full awareness, her mind flashing back to what had happened when she was awake last. Klaus had figured it out. Shit.

The door to the back of the truck opened and a very disgruntled looking Rebekah stood in front of them. She looked at Stefan briefly before she turned her eyes to Lyn. "Sorry about Nik." Rebekah said genuinely before her tone became taunting. "He doesn't much like being lied too,"

"Well, Nik should look back and remember that I never lied." Rebekah raised an eyebrow.

Before Rebekah could retort, Stefan pushed himself up with a gasp. "Oh, he lives," Rebekah mused.

"What happened?" Stefan asked, looking around frantically.

"You took a beating." the blonde original told him. "My brother's been breaking your neck all afternoon. Quite the temper."

"Why did he take us back to Mystic Falls?" Stefan asked. Lyn knew he was still playing dumb but at this point he had to realize that it was pointless.

"You can stop playing dumb now." Rebekah informed him. "It didn't take him long to figure out what you've been hiding."

"I'm not hiding anything," Stefan denied. That wasn't entirely true but it wasn't entirely false either.

"Yes, you both just failed to mention that the doppelganger– the other one–" She added. "Is still alive."

Lyn gave a wry smile before she spoke up. "Did we fail to mention it or did Klaus fail to ask?"

Rebekah exhaled but Lyn could see the slight, tired amusement in her sigh. Lyn looked at the blonde that she hoped she was still friends with and gave a pleading expression. She needed to see her sister and her friends. She didn't think it would be that much of an inconvenience seeing as she didn't pose that much of a threat.

"You may go, Lyn," Rebekah said tiredly. "I suppose you would like a chance to see your sister before Nik rips her bloody head off."

Lyn didn't exactly approve of how Rebekah phrased that but seeing as she was letting her get to her friends, Lyn decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. She gave Stefan a glance before she took off in the direction of her friends.

She was all but running when she finally made it into the gym. She stopped short at the sight that caught her eyes. She recognized Dana, who was struggling to hold her foot up, and Chad, who was staring very nervously at Dana.

But the sight that really got to her was when she saw Klaus standing threateningly close to her sister. "Elena?" Lyn asked, her voice slightly unsteady. The other doppelganger turned her head and faced her sister, tears forming in her eyes.
