"Mmm! Smells delicious, Noona! Oh, Minho-Hyung, I didn't know you were here."

Rose turned her gaze away from Minho to see Hyunjin. He had obviously just woken up, still in his pyjamas, his hair sticking out all over the place. He ran his hand through his hair in an attempt to neaten it. Normally, she would have been happy to see her soulmate, but his timing couldn't have been worse. Hyunjin seemed to realise that and sent her and Minho apologetic looks.

She felt the loss of Minho's touch before she was startled by him suddenly getting off the stool, almost tripping over his feet in his rush. Rose rushed around the counter, but the dancer didn't look at her as he muttered.

"I have to - sorry - I'll go."

And Minho was gone.

Rose collapsed back into the stool as she stared after him. Hyunjin shuffled over to Rose and draped himself over her back, wrapping his arms around her from behind with his head over her shoulder.

"Sorry, Noona. I didn't mean to interrupt."

Rose reached up behind her with one hand to ruffle his hair - she loved playing with his hair.

"It's not your fault, Jinnie."

Her soulmate nuzzled his nose against the side of her neck.

"Has Minho-Hyung stopped avoiding you? Why was he here?"

"Hm, maybe. He wanted to check on me."

Hyunjin raised his head.

"Check on you? Why?"

"Because I have a very busy and sometimes stressful job."

He let out a breathy chuckle.

"Oh! I thought something bad had happened."

Rose turned her head so they were face to face.

"No, nothing bad. I'm fine. Good, even."

"Good? Did something happen with Minho-Hyung?"

Rose didn't want to tell her soulmates what had happened before she had properly discussed it with Minho.

"Nothing I can tell you about just yet."

Hyunjin pouted.

"Aw, Noona -"

"Nope! I need to talk to Minho first. We got interrupted."

Her soulmate's pout turned into a sheepish smile. Rose smiled and leaned in for a kiss. When she broke away, Hyunjin moved so he was in front of her and leaned over, resting a hand on the counter. Cupping her face with his other hand, he kissed her again.

"Do you want to go back to bed?"

"I thought you were hungry?"

His dark gaze felt as though it was staring straight into her soul.

"I am. For you."

"Jinnie!"

Rose wrapped her arms around Hyunjin's neck and her legs around his waist as he picked her up and carried her back to his bedroom. They were the last ones to be ready to leave that day, much to Rose's dismay.

Rose didn't find time that day to talk to Minho, and during work wasn't an appropriate time for such a conversation anyway. Unfortunately, an issue kept her working late. It annoyed her that she wouldn't get to talk to the dancer that day. The last thing she wanted was for this period of uncertainty to drag on, especially when Minho seemed ready to talk to her.

Chan was the only one still awake when she got home. She immediately crawled onto the bed and curled up against her first soulmate's side. The leader automatically wrapped his arm around her, and she melted into his embrace at the press of his lips on the top of her head.
