Music playing: My Oasis by Sam Smith ft Burna Boy

"Lili where the hell have you been, I've tried calling you a few times, even your dad's been trying to get a hold of you",

I was pulled into a hug by my Aunt Kera, who was quickly looking me over before taking my face into her hands.

"Oh, my god Daisy she's here", said Stacey.

Both of them joined us in a hug.

"I swear, you are never ever leaving my sight again cousin",

"Thank goodness she's home safe, something happened to two other students. Apparently they might of been killed. We don't know for sure."

(The next day)

Students were gathered by a large board with students faces, who were gone missing. I saw Lyde come close to the board, his friends were hugging him playfully. I couldn't help but think about him holding me while trying to get me safely over the tree stump.

"Hey city girl", I heard a familiar voice pull me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, hey Spence" ,

"We got class together, you coming?", he asked.

Assessing the situation of the missing students and the amount of students all gathered in front of the board.

"Don't worry about this, I'm sure the police will get the answers we need. Besides I think they might have something great at the library about wolves in Oaks View",

"How did you know?", I asked him,

"Just a certain bird might of told me", he winked,

"Right, well it's a date",

"Okay then, your shouting our lunch",

"Okay", I replied,

(After school)

The girls and I were at the café I was starting to enjoy the manic obsession of people coming and going, including the ones who would have long conversations, sharing a beverage with a friend or a stranger.

The thought of me never, ever once dating as an adolescent teen, I realised I really am just one of those girls who are a part of someone else's story.

"Hey Spence could you please get rid of those for me", said Daisy,

"Oh, I can, he's busy", I replied.

"Oh, that would be so cool, thanks cousin", she smiled.

"No worries, just out the back right?", I asked,

"Yup",

I grabbed the smaller bin, and took it out back. It was bit dark, but thank goodness the light post was right where the bins were. As I made my way towards the bins, I felt a chill run up my spine, ignoring the feeling I emptied the contents of the smaller bin into the much larger one.

Taking in the eerie feel of the scenery around me, I took one sharp breathe and the door opened it was Spencer.

"Oh, there you are Lil's", he said.

A sound of the bushes were made,

"Did you hear that?", I asked Spencer,

"Hear what?", he asked.

When he saw I wasn't moving, he straightened up his posture and looked to where my eyes were. I could hear him make his way over to me.

"I don't think there is anything there Lil's come on, it's getting late we should head inside now" he said.

"Yeah your right, we should-",

A low growl came from the bush,

"Spence-",

"Shush", he replied cutting me off, his body was in front of me.

The next thing I know something, big lunged itself towards us, without a second thought Spencer was so quick he grabbed the bin from me and hit the large animal away from us.

He grabbed hold of me and we both ran inside, he held onto the door, locking it quickly. Loud banging came from the opposite side of the door.

My heart was racing quickly, "Lil's get some help !", yelled Spencer,

"No !", I screamed at him.

"No ?!", he looked at me as if I was crazy,

"I'm not leaving you", I said, helping him hold the door back.

A few minutes later, or what felt like forever, Daisy and Stacey came with my aunty asking us a bazillion questions along the lines of,

"What the hell are you two doing?",

"What's going on?",

"What was that, are you both okay?",

We both looked at each other and just chuckled. Spencer quickly explained that we didn't know what it was but we just got attacked by something big and when things got quiet he opened the door to have a look.

The police had arrived, I was with my cousin and her friend. When Spencer was finished he came near us, then his sister arrived in a car with their mum and cousin.

They were all hugging.

We made our way home and I received a few texts from Spencer saying if I was okay and catch you at school, I texted him back and asking the same thing. As well as reassuring him that I was okay.

My mind started to playback what had just happened outside, if Spencer hadn't of been there, who knows what would have happened to me. Anyway, it happened all too quickly for me to really understand what happened. Besides me catching Spencer using the bin, with reflexes as quick as his, you'd start to understand why he's so good at hockey from other girls and other admirers sharing their views about him.

Then a dark thought crept up in my mind...what if that thing was the thing that had attacked a few students. I caught a conversation earlier of students talking about it being an animal attack and one of the students survived, but haven't revealed anything further.

Not thinking anything of it, I saw my wolf book peeking out from my school bag. I pulled it out and something fell out from it. Looking a bit confused...what is this?

I grabbed it, it was a note.

I opened the note and on the note said my mums...initials.

I quickly closed it...that can't be right, right?

I mean it can't be...she hasn't gone to this school for years...then again the school's library would be always updated...right?

A soft knock came to my door catching my attention, I quickly hid the note in my back pocket, and putting the book quickly into my backpack.

"Hey cousin, just letting you know dinner is ready",

"Thanks, be there in a minute", I replied,

"Okay, see you down there",

I then started to make my way to dinner.
