Chapter . Twenty-two

After the visit from the hospital Aunt Kera took us home, it was also good to have eaten food is well. I had met so many of Aunty Alo's relatives and had also caught up with the newspaper gang. 

Spencer filled us in that his sister was still doing okay and that tomorrow she will be able to expect some visitors, he also asked if me and the girls would come by. We all complied and said we would love too, the movie was on the same day so this meant that we could do something meaningful for our friend.

The night was still dark and the full moon was still up, Aunt Kera told us to lock everything and that no matter what, to stay inside. She put Kylo in the lounge with her collar on and said she will be quite sensitive, usually at times like this she has tendency to wonder.

I was in bed in my pj's, I was thinking about Lyde and what happened, also there should have been every reason why he wouldn't survive from that fall. Aunty Alo and John sent police to find him and would fill us in once they had news of finding him.

I was about to sleep until I saw a shadow close to my windows curtains, getting up slowly I tried not making any noise, right now I would appreciate Kylo being here with me right now. I saw where I was and how far I was from my bedroom door.

A low growl came from my ranch slider door, something in me said "Fuck it", as I looked at the thing waiting for me outside my door towards my bedroom door that would lead me to safety...at least.

I went to move and let out a scream, the thing waiting for me jump through my ranch slider and was on the ground, breathing hitching up. I darted towards the door, when I went to open the knob, the growl was closer to me.

Holding back my scream, something knocked it out of the way. It was dark and shadowy, the first shadow beast thing was knocked out, thank goodness.

The other one came closer to me, I froze in place but my hand found the door knob, then I saw its eyes...they were yellow Lyde? I thought.

"Lili, what the hell is going on?",

"We heard glass breaking, are you alright?",

With that the thing on the ground woke up and the one I think is Lyde scared it off. He disappeared into the bushes.

The door opened and Aunt Kera came with Kylo next to her barking, Daisy grabbed me with her hand and pulled me close into her and Stacey.

"Oh, my god this calls for the Sheriff",

(Time skipped- a few hours later)

After I had been questioned for the incident that had happened, I was sleeping in Daisy's room with Kylo by my side, I felt a lot more safer. Daisy was in her room fast asleep, while I had a spare bed made for me, her room was much larger but I couldn't wait for my room to be fixed.

It was going to take at least two weeks, as Daisy, Stacey and I offered to help with cutting down the costs to get the room back to normal. My bed and some of the other furnishings were broken and the entire ranch slider would need replacing. 

(The next day)

It was that time, I didn't get much sleep but we were ready to visit Avina at the hospital and then go to the movies with the entire newspaper club from school. We could hear laughing coming from within the room, when we came in Spencer offered us chairs and we said hi to Avina. She looked much better and we gave her some gifts and apparently her favourite food from Stu's café.

We were there for a few hours just making sure Spencer felt okay before we saw him at the movies, his sister half jokingly laughed and stated how she was jealous of him taking so many people but his favourite person, her hinting to herself would not be there.

When we left, Spencer followed us out and took us to the truck, we said our goodbyes and would meet him at the movies. After what had happened last night, Aunt Kera swore to drop us off and said that all three of us must be together no matter what was happening.

When it came to the movies, we had arrived. I was excited to feel normal. After the incident last night and also with Lyde, everything seemed like it was different. 

I felt myself thinking of him way too much, was it because he might be what I had read in the book of people changing, shifting into a guarding with large claws, baring more teeth able to rip into an animals flesh easily, with glowing eyes and only turn or change when a full-moon is present.

"Hey you made it",

"You too", I replied.

I saw more people from the newspaper club arriving, Spencer offered to get our food and I made sure to pay half of our bill so that it was fair. 

When we went into the cinema, we found our seats. Spencer saw that Daisy was sitting in his chair, she looked at him and shrugged "This is my seat, something wrong?", she asked, he shook his head.

I didn't say anything, but I sat next to Daisy and we shared our popcorn, but I reached out and gave some of the popcorn to Spencer and just ate from Daisy's.
