Chapter . Thirty

"Dad", I called out,

"Sunflower", I said with tears in my eyes.

As we both made our way to each other, we both then embraced each other in a much needed hug. Spencer was behind me waiting patiently, my dad and I hugged for what seemed like a long time not long enough I thought to myself.

"What, what are you doing here?", I asked him as we let go of each other,

"I came as soon as your Aunt Kera said something had happened to you, so I took the earliest flight I could to get here", he said,

Aunt Kera had come back with Daisy by her side, "Oh, my goodness", said Aunt Kera. My dad and Aunt Kera both hugged each other, I couldn't help but smile at them both. 

They both chuckled and then she introduced her daughter to my dad, he hugged her and she stood by me. Stacey quickly introduced herself to my dad and so did both of her parents. 

Spencer then introduced himself to my dad and they started to quickly chat about me.

Daisy gave me a side hug and Stacey let Kylo earn some pats from my dad, it was interesting having him be here. I felt happy that my dad was here with me, but a part of me kept thinking will we be okay with what has been happening in town so far.

I hadn't heard much about what happened to Lyde, and my dad and Aunt Kera, including some of the other parents were talking to the Sheriff about things, we were not allowed to get involved in. Spencer squeezed the top of my hand, his mom had called for him to get ready to leave, soon everyone including myself we're on their way back home.

(The next day)

There was no school, as there had been too many incidences that had been happening around town. Apparently another student of Oaks View had been killed and their service had happened yesterday, the same day of our kidnapping. 

It had happened so fast, trying to recall everything kind of became a blur, thinking about it now and putting a label on it, knowing exactly what they are and we're...doesn't really help.

As dad and my Aunt Kera were busy catching up in the kitchen, despite my dad crashing out in the lounge on air mattress, I tried offering him my room as I didn't want him to sleep in the lounge. But after much protest we settled on him sleeping in the lounge and me joining him, I dragged myself and my mattress in the lounge, Daisy and Stacey shared my space, followed by Kylo.

I was twiddling my thumbs randomly, feeling their adult conversation becoming tedious, I had spotted a golden shimmer in my dads backpack. When they left to go and fetch some items from the store together, I quickly checked they had gone and made my way to his backpack.

Daisy and Stacey were busy eating their lunch, then Daisy asked me "What are you doing Lil's?",

"I think there is something my dad has...I knew it",

I pulled out the fourth diary.

(A few hours later)

I was still getting over the initial shock, Daisy and Stacey and I took photos of what we thought was important inside of the diary and I also took a photo of the same patterns in the book. I had placed the same image next to the other books images I had taken photos of and had printed off.

It was a map...I thought,

"A map", we all said in unison,

"Where do you think this leads?",
