Chapter 19 Going In
Once we are flying over Stark Towers I nudge my sister, "I have some business with Loki I need to take care of."
"I think Stark is taking care of that." She responds and nods outside. I notice that Tony is flying towards the towers.
"Yeah, well. Mine's probably different." I remarked.
I wandered over to Barton, "Hey, do you mind just dropping me off."
"Where?" Barton looks confused.
"Oh, just generally down." I shrug as if it was no big deal, which to me it wasn't. Barton was just being a scaredy-cat.
"You just want to be dropped down into the air?" Barton looks horrified at the thought.
"Yeah." I say and then smirk, "Are you worried about me?" I grinned and smirked at him. That was new. Usually he would embrace the fact that I kind of wanted to jump out of something around 300 feet above the ground. It was a death wish.
"Of course. Your sister would kill me." Barton looks at me curiously, "Why?"
"I need to speak with Loki." I protested.
"Of course you do." Barton's face went hard, "Alright. You have a parachute?"
"Don't need one." I smirked and headed to the front, "Thanks Barton. Keep me informed." I pointed to the small mic in my ear.
Barton smirked at me, "Good thinking Anya." and then pressed a button dropping me into the sky.
I braced myself for impact and rolled on the pavement before standing up and pressing the mic closer to my ear, "I'm fine."
"Alrighty. Be safe Anya." Barton spoke.
"Will do. Romanoff Out." I whisper back before heading towards Tony who had just walked in.
"Decided to join me?" Tony smirked.
"Oh please. I'm here for my own purpose." I smirked before following him in.
Short chapter! But I needed it to be this short.
Anyways...next chapter coming tomorrow :)
