She closed the door of the taxi cab then it drove away. She head towards their gate, it was open kaya diretso na siyang pumasok. Simula ng lumipat siya sa condo unit she make it a point na dumaan sa bahay nila kahit sandali para silipin ang kalagayan ng lola niya.
She noticed two cars were parked at their garage. She thought it could be her dad's guest but she remembered he is out of town for two days.
Lianne walked to the front door, a loud music is playing and she can hear noises from the living room. She opened the door and walked in, then she stopped. There seemed like a dozen of teens drinking and smoking. They didn't notice her dahil nagkakasayahan at nagkakagulo ang mga ito. And there is a couple making out in a corner.
Lianne's brows furrowed, she slammed the door on purpose. The music went low then there was silence, tumingin ang mga ito sa kanya. She found Kristine and Karla among them, they are Evette's daughters, they are looking back at her with cigarettes and drinks in hand. They both look slightly irritated maybe because of her interruption.
Pumunta siya sa kitchen, she found Manang Lily na naghuhugas ng pinggan. Nasa edad singkwenta na ito at matagal na nilang kasambahay, ito ang namamalengke, nagluluto, naglilinis at naghuhugas ng pinggan. Twice a week naman ay may pumupuntang tagalaba, tagaplantsa at hardinero.
"Ay Lianne, dumating ka na pala. Gusto mo ba'ng kumain?" tanong nito sa kanya.
"Hindi na po manang Lily, nagdinner na ako sa labas. Nakita niyo po si tita Evette?" kaswal na tanong niya.
Bahagyang sumama ang mukha nito. "Nasa kwarto na siguro ng daddy mo iyon" sagot nito.
"Si lola?"
"Nasa kwarto na rin, binabantayan ni Cecil" sagot nito
"Sige po, magpahinga na rin po kayo pagkatapos" magalang na sagot niya rito.
Umakyat siya. Halfway through the stairs she heard the music came back as well as the noises, she shook her head.
When she reached the master's bedroom, she made three hard knocks and without waiting for an answer she turned the doorknob and walked inside.
She found her tita Evette on the phone, when she saw her walk in ibinaba na nito ang telepono.
"Is there an occassion?" Lianne asked in a blank expression.
"Ah kasi nagkatuwaan lang ang mga anak ko at mga friends nila. I hope you don't mind?" Evette said in an unapologetic tone.
She can tell na nakainom din ito, namumula ang balat nito epekto ng alak. She saw a bottle of whisky on her bedside table.
"Alam ba ni daddy 'to?" she tried to be calm.
"Kailangan ko pa ba'ng ipagpaalam sa kanya ang lahat? I mean, he said this is also our house.."
Tumango-tango siya. "And you can do what you want. Drink, smoke, magparty." she stated.
"Alam mo naman ang mga teen agers di ba? Huwag ka naman sanang maging kj" sagot ng tita Evette niya. There was irritation in her voice.
"I got your point tita pero sana naman be considerate. Alam ninyo na may sakit si lola, she needs rest pero ang gulo at ang ingay sa bahay" sinubukan pa rin niyang maging mahinahon. "Not to mention, those teen agers are smoking like a chimney. Don't they know the dangers of second hand smoking, even dad disapproves of that."
"They're just having fun, kung pwede sana pabayaan na lang natin sila." Evette looked at her sharply.
"Fun? Mga minors pa sila tita they shouldn't be drinking at all. You of all people should know that." bahagyang tumaas na rin ang boses niya.
