Chapter 4

Lianne spent her Friday sa pag-aayos at pagkumpleto ng mga requirements needed for her job. She also renewed her driver's license na matagal ng expired. Then she had a busy weekend. Cheska helped her shop for personal things na kailangan para sa lilipatang condo unit. They bought some appliances, furnitures, sofa set, dining table and chairs, decorations pati kitchenwares and groceries. She made sure everything she needed is complete.

"I don't understand kung bakit of all people, siya pa!?" Lianne exclaimed.

"Girl, you called me right after mo magwalk-out sa welcome party for Alden, then last night you called ulit and we talked about the same thing. Tapos hanggang ngayon talaga yan pa rin ang sentiments mo?" Cheska mocked her but in a teasing way.

"Excuse me, hindi ako nagwalk out" she folded her arms. "Ms. Sally said I can go kaya umalis na ko." sagot niya sa kaibigan na nakapamewang pa sa harapan niya. Dumako ang tingin nya sa mga lalaking nagbubuhat ng mga gamit.

"Ingat lang po" paalala niya sa mga ito. Lumapit sa kanya ang isa sa mga lalaki.

"Ma'am nahakot na ho namin lahat ng gamit sa sasakyan. Kailangan ninyo rin ho ba ng tulong sa pag-aayos?" tanong nito.

"Okay na po Mang Lito, nakapwesto na naman ang mga gamit at konting ayos na lang. Kami na po ang bahala" magalang na sagot niya at kumuha ng pera sa wallet. She handed the man some paper bills, "Tama na po ba yan para sa inyong apat?" tanong niya at sumulyap pa sa tatlo pa nitong kasama.

"Naku, sobra pa nga ho ito ma'am" nahihiya namang sagot nito.

"Sige na po, pangmerienda ninyo ang sobra." nakangiti niyang sabi.

"Salamat ma'am, tutuloy na ho kami." paalam nito sa kanya.

"Sige po, maraming salamat din. Ingat po kayo." inihatid niya ito sa pintuan and she watched them leave.

Lianne decided to move in to the condo unit today. Pinili niya ito dahil it is just some minutes away from the tv station and her father's house, that way she can easily visit her grandmother often.

"So, what's your decision now? Magbaback out ka sa trabaho ganon?" tanong ni Cheska, naupo ito sa sofa.

"If I do that nakakahiya kay ninong. At saka ano'ng iisipin ni Alden, affected ako?" naupo na rin siya sa sofa. Kung tutuusin, kahit hindi pa muna siya magtrabaho for a few months ay makakasurvive siya. She had saved enough money from working for almost five years in the US.

"Hindi ba?" Cheska looked at her, "parang ang bitter kasi nung sinabi mo sa kanya na -'you're a damn good actor eversince" she said it with feelings.

"Ang oa ng pagkasabi mo girl ah" inirapan niya ito. "Tama lang naman ang sinabi ko ah. Magaling talaga siyang umarte imagine, napaniwala niya ako that he love me, napaniwala niya tayo na sincere siyang tao."

"So affected ka pa rin." Cheska said. It was a statement, not a question.

"When I saw him parang it all came back to me. Hindi madaling makalimutan ang ginawa niya pero there's no way I'm backing out on the job. If ever we had to work together, it's okay. I'll separate the personal matters, I'll be professional." Lianne said seriously, there was determination in her voice.

"You think you can do that?"

"I have to. Hindi dapat maapektuhan ang trabaho."

"Dapat lang, work is work." Cheska said smiling.

"Speaking of trabaho, magpaka-interior designer na tayo at umpisahan na natin mag-ayos dito." natatawa niyang sabi. She stand up and scanned the place then she shook her head.
