It felt weird not having Zayn around when I woke up this morning. I'm just so used to waking up to the sound of him singing in the shower. Before he left this morning, he woke me up to say goodbye and gave me a kiss. I was still groggy at the time and just mumbled a bunch of incoherent things, making him laugh as he started to leave the room.

It was a little past noon and Alexa met up with me for lunch. Ella was carried away with her coloring book while Ash was sound asleep in his stroller.

"Does the UK not know what ranch is?" Alexa rolled her eyes as she took a bite of a her last French fry.

Laughing, I leaned over and grabbed my glass of water and took a sip.

"I guess not."

"Lame," she huffed, checking her phone for text from Liam. "Anyways-"

"Hm?" I hummed.

"Liam said that him and Zayn have a surprise for us."

I raised a brow at her. "Surprise?"

"Seems like it."

"What would it be?"

Alexa sat back against her chair and shrugged. "No clue."

"Ha," I nodded. "I wonder what's up their sleeves."

Alexa giggled. "Right?"

My phone buzzed against the table and I leaned forward to answer.

"Hey," I greeted, smiling.

"Babe," Zayn responded, sternly.

"Um, is everything okay?" I asked, becoming a bit concerned.

"Can you and Alexa meet us at The Ivy?"

"The restaurant?"

"Yes."

"But we just ate lunch."

"Fuck," he muttered as I sat there, confused. "I mean, dang it. I totally forgot. Uhh-" he trailed off before calling out Liam's name. I heard his voice faintly in the background. Their voices were sounded muffled but I just waited until Zayn got back to the phone.

"Okay, we won't have to eat because we just had lunch too. Maybe we can get drinks instead," Zayn said.

I raised my wrist up slightly to check the time on my watch. "At 1 pm?"

"Is that really the time?" he asked, sounding confused as ever.

I laughed, shaking my head. "Yes. How about we meet you two for dinner or maybe we could go to the bar or something. Plus, Ella is getting tired and is just about ready for a nap."

"Alright, sounds good. How's Ash doing?"

"He's asleep," I said, sneaking a quick glance at him in his stroller. "He was cranky earlier because he was worn out. He's been awake since 7 am."

"Aw," he sighed. "Well, we'll meet you ladies tonight, m'kay?"

"Mhm," I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Love you."

"Love you more," he replied, his voice sounding soft.

I just about melted right then and there. His voice is like...butter? If that makes sense.

After saying goodbye, I explained to Alexa that we're going to meet Zayn and Liam tonight for dinner. Right as I told her that, Zayn texted back and changed up the plans.

"Scratch that," I said. "We're going to the club."

Alexa nearly spit out her drink. "Did you just say the club?"

I blinked a couple times before reading the text again. "He said we're going to a club."

"What the hell?"

I set my phone down and shrugged. "I know. Weird."

The last time we went to club was for Louis' 22nd birthday and that was nearly two years ago. And if the girls and I ever wanted to go to the club, we'll bring the guys along because they do not like it when we go out alone, to clubs especially. They trust us, but they do not trust the other men around us.

An hour later, Ashton was still asleep and I had just put Ella down for her nap. I found myself changing into sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt and crawled into bed with Ashton beside me as I closed my eyes.

I think I need a nap as well.

I KNOW IVE BEEN GONE FOR A BILLION YEARS FORGIVE ME :( I'm back. Yes, I know I've said that and ended up being gone for a long time but I really miss writing about Zevelyn...this whole story in general. I've taken a much needed break from writing and I'm pretty sure I'm fine now. YAS! And I know this is short but I just wanted to update at least.
