Alex's p.o.v
My life seriously changed in the matter of 3 days. I went from living with my grandma in a small trailer to living with my dad in a huge house with crazy family and a new best friend. I felt awful for being the cause of Shelby's breakup. I didn't know I would cause trouble. But at the same time I felt relived. I don't like Shelby it's just I have a feeling in my gut when I'm around her. I don't know what it is though.
"Let's go climb that tree!" Jake said interrupting my thoughts
"Yea let's go!" Shelby said grabbing my hand
I got this tingling feeling in my stomach. I smiled and ran with her. Jake easily got up in the tree, but Shelby was struggling. I grabbed her waist and pushed her up. She jumped up on a branch and sat in it. I climbed up beside her.
"Hey keep your hands off my sister!" Jake snapped
"Jake! He was just helping me up!" She snapped back
"I'm serious!" He said looking directly at me
"I...I.was just helping!" I stuttered
He rolled his eyes. We started talking about random stuff until we heard something snap. I felt myself move down.
"Shoot!" I yelled jumping off the branch
I heard a snap and a scream. Jake and is looked down and Shelby was laying there holding her wrist.
"Shelby!" Jake said jumping down me not far behind
"It hurts so bad!" She whined
"Let me see." I said taking her arm
I looked at the bone that was almost breaking the skin.
"Ok, it's defiantly broken. Hop on my back I'll take you home!"
She nodded and hopped on my back. I ran home and jake was right behind me talking on the phone with his mom.
"IS SHE OK!" I heard her yell over the phone
"We are on our way!" He said ending the call
I finally reached there door and opened it.
"Oh my gosh!" Her mom cried taking her off my back
"Let's go to the emergency room." Taylor said calmly
We walked out and got in the car. About 20 minuets of Shelby whining we pulled up.
Taylor held her while her mom signed her in. We sat down and about 2 hours later they called our name. By this time Shelby's wrist was huge.
"Alright let's see here!" The doctor chirped
He held her wrist and Shelby winced in pain.
"Well it's defiantly broken but let's get some x-rays!" She said taking her gloves off.
She took her into a room and everyone was just sitting in the doctors office.
"What exactly happened?" Her mom finally asked
"We climbed a tree and Alex and Shelby were sitting on a branch. The branch broke and Shelby fell. She tried to catch herself but it um didn't really work." Jake said scratching his neck. Sophia put her head in her hands.
"She can't dance now!" She snapped
"It was an accident mom!"
"You'll have to deal with her!" She said
I awkwardly sat that. Finally Shelby came out.
"Well she broke it!" The doctor laughed
"Well I didn't sit in there for 2 hours to have a doctor tell me something I already know!" Taylor said throwing his hands up
"She will need to get a cast, so you will have to stay a little while longer." She snapped
"Oh my lord. Taylor take jake and Alex home I'll stay here." Sophia said
"Ok, see you tomorrow babe." He said kissing her
"Bye mom." Jake said hugging her
"Bye boys!" She said hugging us
We waved goodbye and left the hospital. We pulled in there driveway and I went straight up to the room I was staying in. I instantly crashed onto my bed. I was so exhausted. I felt my eyes get heavier and sleep took over.
