Sixteen

Shelby's p.o.v
I called and called Alex and he never answered. I guess he decided that we should not be friends. I just don't understand why he kissed me, knowing he was leaving. I walked down stairs to eat breakfast and taylor and my mom were arguing.
"What's going on?" I asked
They looked at each other
"Honey sit down." My mom said
"Ok?"
"Alex's uncle and aunt had an argument yesterday afternoon and Alex uncle left with Alex and his cousin."
"They don't know where they are." Taylor added
"What!?"
"I'm sorry sweetie."
"No, it's not ok! We have to find them!" 
"They are trying to!"
I started crying. I ran up stairs and grabbed my phone. I called  Alex at least a 100 times. He didn't answer.
I cried some more and decided to write some lyrics down. Why do things happen like this. I read and wrote for hours until my phone rang. It was a weird number. I answered.
"Hello?"
"Shelby?!" I heard a familiar voice
"Alex!"
"Oh my gosh, I miss you so much and I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left. I wanted you to know I really like you. I don't know what it is, but when I'm with you, I feel something special and nothing can replace that. If I never see you again, I hope you never forget about me. I know that I will never forget about you. Shelby Elizabeth, the girl who stole my heart. This phone is about to cut out. I needed to tell you that."
I started to tear up.
"Alex I will never ever forget you. I really like you too, and I promise I will see you again!" 
"Until then, remember to-" he started
I heard a beeping noise
"Alex!?"
Nothing
"Alex!?"
Nothing
I hung up and sulked on my bed.
He did like me. He really did like me. I laid on my back and closed my eyes. "I will see him again" I kept saying in my head over and over. I will be with him again. I promise my self that.
