Thirteen

Shelby's p.o.v
When Luke asked me out it killed me but I said yes. I like Alex, a lot. But I know he doesn't like me back. I had to get him out of my head. I felt wrong dating Luke though. My head started hurting so I took a a pill. I never did take a nap so I decided now was better then never. I laid on the couch a fell a sleep shortly.

*4 weeks later*

I was about to leave to go to the park with Alex. I just got my cast off and I was so hype. It was about 5:00 so it was a little chilly. I put on my thin jacket a kissed my mom and taylor bye. I forgave taylor and so did my mom. But it still felt wrong for me to call him dad.  I stepped outside and the cold wind hit me. I walked to the park and Alex was laying on a blanket. I walked over and laid beside him.
"Hey!" He said looking over at me
"Hey!" I said back
"So what's up?"
"Nothing much you?"
"Same."
We looked up at the purple and orange sky
"I can't believe summers over next month!" I finally said
He faced towards me and I rolled over to face him.
"I know it's crazy, so much has happened this summer!"
"I know right!"
It was silent and we just stared at each other.
I noticed that he kept looking at my lips then my eyes. He slowly leaned in and so did I. Our lips connected and I felt sparks. We pulled away.
"Shelby I'm so-"
"No it's ok." I interrupted him
"What about Luke."
"I don't really know why I'm dating him." I shrugged
"What do you mean? " he asked
"It's stupid!" I blushed
"Tell me!"
"Fine, I liked you, and i knew you didn't like me. So to get my mind off I tried to date Luke, but it's not working." I said and then covering my face in my hands
"Really?"
"Yea, pretty dumb, uh?"
"Well, I guess that makes me dumb because I thought that you didn't like me and I just liked you!"
My heart started fluttering
After about 15 minuets he walked me home. We said good byes and I ran to my room. I laid on my bed and thought of everything. I had my first kiss. With Alex. My bestfriend.
